Cashed out

Well, this will be a very short post as I don't have much to say...I played in the Negreanu Open again last night, but I sucked it up most of the time, well, actually, I built a stack at the beginning which was pointless b/c I kept gettin slammed by idiots catching their 2 and 3 outers on the river...but I'm not going to complain....I cashed out a total of $950 yesterday, off an original investment of $60, yeah...that whats I said...$60...I took it almost to $1200 , but then lost it down and cashed out, because I need money for this weekend and I'm going to buy me a new muzzleloader seeing that deer season starts Sat....but I lost the $80 or so I left myself to play with at a no limit table last night, so I'm out and will probably deposit again early next week, if I can make it through the weekend without doing so....I will be a married man the next time I post, later...

Turbo MTT

Last night was, for the most part, uneventful as far as poker is concerned. I played $3/6 limit for a lil bit and just went up then down, couldn't really hold on to a profit or a loss, so then played a lil $1/2 no limit, in which I did the same thing, up and down...I played two heads-up matches, both for $20, and won one, and loss one....So you can see, that last night I just wasn't capitalizing on anything, which with the profits I been gettin used to for the last couple of nights, SUCKED...

I guess the highlight of last night was that I cashed in the $5+.50 Turbo MTT.....I usually play these mainly b/c they are cheap, they only last a maximum of about 2 hours and they usually have a first place of about $2k...

PokerStars Tournament #12956741, No Limit Hold'emBuy-In: $5.00/$0.50 1767 playersTotal Prize Pool: $8835.00 Tournament started - 2005/09/27 - 22:39:00 (ET)Dear Dornie, You finished the tournament in 80th place.A $17.68 award has been credited to your Real Money account. You earned 80.84 tournament leader points in this tournament. For information about our tournament leader board, see our web site athttp://www.pokerstars.com/tlb_tournament_rankings.html

Tonight is the 4th Negreanu Open tourney, and I think I am sitting in about 12th...I figure that I atleast have to play every week, because as time goes by , more and more people will not play regularly, and those who do wil benefit from it, esp. with consistent high finishes.

College dropout turned pro???

Well, I'm not at all considering dropping out of school, or turning pro, but I had a damn good weekend all together, poker and otherwise. My fiance went to Motley Crue w/ friends Friday night so I got to go to Conway to play in the CSC bi-weekly poker tourney. There were only 16 people with a buy-in of $30 with rebuys, but no add-on. I won it....my 5th time going and I have never even cashed, but I played near-perfect and ended up winning the whole thing for $285...and I didn't rebuy, so a net-profit of $255...only downside is it lasted for 5.5 hours, which is too long for that small of a tourney, but the guy who runs it it working on changing it to speed it up...The best thing about that night was the fact that I was shortstacked going into 3, when the two bigger stacks got all-in and took it down to heads-up...Going in to heads-up I was about 2.5 or 3 to 1...I was dominated! But after about 5 str8 all-ins, I got some chips and ended up winning. I jumped up to 16 on the points standings, so it was a good night.

Sat. Night one of my mom's friends had a wedding party for us. It was very nice and we got a lot more cool gifts, so thanks to everybody for everything. We drank a little there, and then battled the ruminants of Hurricane Rita on the way home, and then went out to a country club called Hollywood and had a hell of a time. One of my buddies actually got "cut-off" by the bar if that tells you anything.

And finally I get to talk about cash games on Pokerstars. Sometimes I hate stars, but I love it right now. Last Thurs. I made a $60 deposit, and over the weekend turned it into $720....thats right!...$721.34....Hell yeah, I'm good, I don't have to be told twice. That is the biggest increase over that short period of time I have ever had since playing online, which I have been doing for more than a year now. A combination of playing $3/6 and $5/10 led up to that...Last night I played for maybe 1.5 hours at a $5/10 table and turned $100 into $475....SO, needless to say I kinda have a big head right now, because I feel pretty good about poker and life in general..

Its my last week to be single as I'm gettin married Sat. October 1...ran up on me quick, but I'm excited and know that Jen is the right one and only one for me for the rest of my life....I love you if you read this baby! Enough sweet talk...I'm the shit right now, just wanted to share that...matter of fact, I think this is the 1st time Ive ever had more than $700 in my pokerstars account at once. So, hope everyone is loving life like me....Later

$2/4 on Stars

Last night I two-tabled some $2/4 for a couple of hours and ended with a net profit of $120 or so....so a pretty good session...not much really...played in the Negreanu Open Wed. night and went out early for no reason other than I didn't want to play and I had a home game to attend to...but I am still doin okay on the leaderboard standings...anywayz, let you know what i do over the weekend on Monday...

Gambling, Drinking, and Strippers.....

Ahhh....gambling, drinking and strippers...the life...Well folks, Tunica was a blast this weekend, and me and the guys all went up there for my Bachelor's party weekend. It was a very expensive "blast" but still very much so worth it. We stayed at the Gold Strike all weekend and suprisingly had a room on the 15th floor with an outstanding view. And compared to my previous trips, it was much better staying at a casino hotel rather than having to drive back and forth...you could drink much more and only have to manage to get yourself to the elevator at 8am rather than walking through a parking lot looking for your ride in the depressing morning sun.

Well, no one left with a profit out our whole group, many of us were up at one point, but lost it all back...I think that is why they feed you as many crown & cokes as you can drink..lol...But we all had a great time to say the least with the exception of that one SEC team losing to USC...
I was in the casino from about 10:00pm until about 8:30am fri night and it was awesome...One thing I love about going to Tunica is that even though you lose most of the time, the casino lessens the pain by giving you comp meals, its easy....you just sit at any table game and when the pit boss comes to check in your card til him you want a couple of meals, and you get enough comps so that everyone can get atleast 2 or 3 good menu items...I have to give Cody his props, he hit a str8 flush twice in one night on the three-card poker table, where if you bet on the "pairs plus" bet it paid off 40 to 1....both times he had a $5 chip on the bet and hit for over $200 total...he was up about $700 at the end of the night Friday and still managed to lose it all back like the rest of us.....my only wish about the trip was that I can't believe I didn;t play any poker, or atleast no hold-em in the poker room...I don't have much of a reason except for that fact that I didn't want to buy-in for a big amount all at once, I guess I wanted to lose $50 and a $100 here and there until my money was gone...But we had a hell of a time...

Sat night we went to Memphis to go watch the Hogs play USC at a sports bar and drink and then go to Platinum Plus....for those of you that don't know what Platinum is, it is considered to be one of the Best strip clubs in the Southeast US....Well, I'm not even goin to talk about to Hogs game, its not worth it, we lost 70-17....the 2nd most points scored on us in school history, ouch....absolutely rediculous....We just have to get rid of Nutt and see if Butch Davis can come in and do something right. Platinum was all it was cracked up to be, we had an awesome time there, and it was even better b/c we got free passes from the bar we went to so that saved us $10 a piece...

All in all, I had an awesome weekend, it was everything I wanted it to be, thanks to Twitty for helping get our room in order and a HELL YEAH to all the guys that went, and a I'm sorry for all who couldn't....but I'm out later...

Lil $3/6 will do...

What up to all the fishes....I just love them, as supastarr says "there are many a fish on the sea of green felt"...I just wanted to say that...last night was aight I guess...I played in the second tourney of the new season of the Negreanu open( private tourney on stars) and placed 12th out of 126...last week i got 10th out of 124...so as far as leaderboard standings go, I'm doing pretty good...a big congrats to Spademan who won the Open last week and turned around and got 2nd this week...nice!

I played quite a bit of $3/6 six-handed last night, I played the whole time I was in the tourney which was almost 3 hours...I turned $60 into $235 before getting out, so a pretty good investment...Although $3/6 isn't that high of a limit, its plenty high enough for my bankroll, but I am amazed at the fish that love to dump big pots to me, over and over again...I even woke up early this morning and played a lil $5/10, but after about 50 hands cashed out even or very close to that.

Well, its thurs. and tomm, is the reason this week has went by so damn slow...as soon as I can get out of here tomm. me and the guys are headed to Tunica for the weekend for my bachelor's party...We are going to be gambling all night tomm, sleep during the day Sat. and then head up to Memphis Sat. night to watch the No.1 team in the nation play some team from the SEC, and then going to Platinum....so this weekend is going to be wild to say the least...im out

Vanderbilt 28, Arkansas 24

I had a good weekend, both poker and non-poker. Well, except for the fact that the Razorbacks lost...to Vandy? What???? I guess this is what happens when you get overconfident after beating a high school team the prior week(Missouri State)...But they just didn;t play good and they had a bunch of penalties and we just sucked, but is over and I guess Nutt can do whatever he has planned to prepare for the trip to HollyWood to play NO 1. ranked USC...anywayz, enough about the hogs...They still are and will always be my team...

Another good thing is that my fiance and I got our rings bought and taken care of this weekend...just another thing off the list of the choas that is to be a wedding. But Oct. 1 is approaching fast and I'm excited so it will be cool...Also, my bachelor's party weekend is this weekend...Belew and Nations are no going so we will have a pretty big crew..We are going to Tunica and staying at the Gold Strike fri and sat night. Sat night however, we are goin to Memphis to watch the USC game of Beale St. and then go to Platinum Plus....And all the mean while gettting VERY liquored up...yes!

And finally, in the realm of poker...Fri. night we had a little game at the house with my chips, which evidently didn't bring me any luck, b/c I lost a little...But they are the baddest ass chips in town. I have been doing fairly well, STILL, on online poker, I guess I am still on a run, or maybe I am just getting better, or both...but I had $74 on Pokerstars Sun. Night and in 1 hour and 10 mintues ( a fairly short session) turned it into $468..no shit...by 2-tabling Limit cash games....So my grand total between poker sites and Neteller is now $1043.76!!!!! off a intial INVESTEMENT of $150....So i am doing fairly well, I am glad, b/c I am going to need some extra cash to go to Tunica this weekend....

Negreanu Open

Last night was another good night for me as far as poker goes...Nate came over and we drank whiskey for a couple of hours and he watched me play in the Negreanu Open on stars....Well, thee was 144 entrants and I finished 10th, one off the final table, but Im still happy to have done that good...It was the first tourney of the new season, so I am starting out in the top 10 on the leaderboard...but it only payed $14.88 and it cost $10+1 to play so a net profit of $3.88 for 2.5 hours of playing, not that great...
I played quite a bit of $2/4 last night and finished my PSO promotion, so as soon as they verify it, i will get my 6000 PSO points for free, which is already enough to buy a lot of stuff on their site.... Hopefully I will get my chip set in tonight, It wil prob be tomm, but I will still shoot for tonight...later...

Bonus-chasin...

Things still going good for me bankroll wise in online poker...I am concentrating on being a bonus-chaser right now becaus I have two outstanding bonuses to collect on two different sites..I recently collected my $20 bonus on pokerstars and I have the PSO promotion I am working on on Abosolute Poker, only 98 points left to get before I get my bonus there...(6000 PSO points)...and I am trying to also get my $100 bonus on Power Player by getting to 1000 Power Points, I am currenly at about 500, so halfway...but $100 will be nice when i get it...There is a game to these bonuses...They are able to give away all this money and gifts b/c most people don't ever reach the requirements b/c they suck...If you can play a couple of hours a night and maintain or increase your bankroll, then it is SOOO WORTH IT...b/c you can get a lot of loot and some tight gifts for free...I suggest playing long sessions of Limit, and trying to atleast play 3 tables at once, and play high-speed tables...This way you can play a slower game(limit) and can see a shitload of hands per hour and you will get these bonuses in no time....If you are strictly a tournament player, bonus-chasin isn't for you, b/c no matter the buy-in, you aren't rewarding the same and would have to cash everytime, a bunch of times in a row to get any type of bonus on any site...Either way, I am goin to try to play in the first tourney of the Negreanu Open tonight...its actually just a new season, but its a private tourney you can find out more about on www.fullcontactpoker.com.... Hopefully you all will get to read some of Supastarr's fine writing todya if he will post....later...oh yeah got my Copag cards in the mail yesterday and they are sweet

$5/10???

Well, Labor Day weekend was good to me as far as poker goes and some enjoyed time off of work..I don't know if I am gettin dumb or just playin way out of my league bankroll wise, but i stepped it up this weekend and played a little $5/10 limit on stars...I hardly ever play anything less than $2/4 and have been most comfortable at that level with the occasional $3/6 game...

Fri. night, me and Craig and my bro-in-law Jake went to Benton to play in Big Phil's game with some regulars and a newbie...Well, not that Phillip wants to read this but we cleaned house by the time we left...We left with about $400 between us, which, for our little $.50/1 home game is an amazing win...Phil lost a little cash I think, but porb broke even somehow, he always does, but I can't say the same for poor Mike...he lost...Once he got on tilt, there was no getting off, and needless to say with a combination of tilting, bad decisions, and bad beats, he got his ass handed to him....but this is in no way to down either or these players, they are both good players, bu everyone has bad/good nights, and this was just our night....but I'm proud that we did that good, esp. since it was Craig's first time playin with the guys and he netted about $200....

Brian Twitty(Supastarr) should be joining our site today and making a post today sometime, he is now a member...but anywayz, I have cashed out about $300 to neteller and its just sitting there and I have almost $400 tied up in 3 sites still, so I am making a very good run at the online poker tables...current bankroll total online is $676.48

Another cash...

What up everyone...I didn't feel like posting yesterday, so I didn't...I been having to work to hard tryin to get Supastarr to join my site, hes an idiot in real life, but a "supastarr" at the poker tables...But who cares about him right now, well nobody prob cares bout me, but quit reading this shit if you don't, I don't need any more posts from idiots tellin me they don't care about my daily win/loss record...All I got to say is, if you don't, leave.....

Well, another cash in a stars MTT for me, maybe I am gettin something figured out or maybe Im just lucky...either way, I'm 3 for 4 in MTTs on stars with more then 1200 people in them..last night I just barely made the money before gettin knocked out, but things looked promising when I was sitting in 22 out of 180 left...But My KK ran into a QJo two pair and then one other bad hand and I was down to nothing....but I'm still happy with my play lately...

I made another deposit last night and split it up between Power Player and Absolute Poker...power player because I only need a few more points before I get my $75 bonus...and I am starting on my first http://www.pokersourceonline.com promotion...I have to play 300 raked hands on that site and I get my choice of a gift(chip set, table, kem cards, poker software, etc...) I have already played 115 of the needed hands and I didn't even play for very long. Anyone reading this should check out PSO b/c they have some cool promotions and a bunch of free stuff you get just for playing your everyday game...usually, the only requirements are a certain amount of raked hands and a minimum deposit of $100...

I also just won my ebay auction the other night for a 1000 chip set w/ case that I get to pick the colors and denominations...They are the dice chips that I already have, but I am gettin a bunch more and I'm gettin some wicked colors like pink and NC blue....they will be here by next Wed., just in time for the Wed night home game...check out www.spinettis.com for the place to get this chip set and a bunch of other stuff....you can prob save a little if you look for his auctions on Ebay. I also have my first set of 100% plastic COPAG playing cards on the way and they are a collector's set so they are going to be nice...

Did alright at the cash tables last night, being a "bonus-chaser" as they call it in the poker world...current bankroll between 3 sites is $321.75
