Damn, I never post on this thing anymoore. It has been over two months. I just thought I would stop in and say what up.

Like all other Neteller customers, I still have my withdrawal seized by the USAO. But promising is the fact that they say within 75 days of March 20, they will release the plan on how they will return the money.

I have played a little bit lately, but I get up pretty big and then jump off into limits that are way over my head and bankroll, and manage to donk it all off. I still enjoy playing, and like to play a lot more live now than I used to. One, b/c I have a lil more money in the bank than when I first started playing, and Two, b/c I am just a little better and not as gunshy.

I have a fantastic Tunica trip coming up. It is for my buddy's bachelor party. I am planning it, and although I am behind in the process, and I can't do much else good, I can plan a fuckin kick ass bachelor party. We are going to go for the weekend, and stay in Tunica, probably at the Gold Stirke. We are going to go into Memphis Sat. night while Memphis in May is going on, which is the best town party ever. Whole story in itself. Do a little golfing, and also some competition-style skeet shooting on Sunday. Thats all I got for now, maybe I won't wait 2 months before posting again. Also, check out Shannor Shorr if you haven't already. Dude is a pretty level headed dude, and makes some serious jack playing cards for a living, loves to drink,is Southern, plays at retarded levels, and is not a fuckin dork like most serious players.

Neteller Sucks

Ok, everyone has heard...Neteller pulled a bitch move and suspended all transactions to US customers...I have a withdrawal that I put in before this all happened that is just floating in cyberspace somewhere, good thing it isn't a very big amount. I did call support though, and they told me because of the backlog, that it may be up to two weeks before I see my funds.

It seems that ePassPorte and Click2Pay are the only two "e-wallets" that are still taking on US customers, and Ive heard that Click2Pay has suspended new registrations for the time being because of the onrush of new accounts being opened. Pokerstars, my primary site, doesn't accept Click2Pay right now anyways so it doesn't affect me much. Matter of fact, the only way to process a withdrawal currently is with an ePassPorte account. I have money on there, and don't need to withdraw so I am going to try to just build my bankroll a little.

In better news...I took down a $20+2 45-man SNG last night for $279, so that was nice...I have been doing pretty well lately, I have stayed away from cash games, and played SNGs and MTTs only. I have been taking shots in "bigger" MTTs than normal. I have cashed in a $20+2 and and $25+2.50 MTT the last two nights....I made a good run in the $20 and finished 38th, I was playing to win and made a call that a probably shouldn't have to end it. In the $27.50 I finished like 108th or something, top 180 paying. I crept into the money, and then built my stack a bit before I open-dropped with A7o from mid position on to get called by a shorter stack and then the BB who was Top 5 in chips. BB has KK, SS has QQ...I flop the miracle "A" and would've jumped to the top of the pack by tripling up, but Lee Jones didn't want that to happen so he threw the BB third K out on the river. Game Over.

So I am feeling fairly confident right now online, so I'll see where it goes from here...LATE

Things pickin up a little...Tunica Trip

I don't want to get to ahead of myself and say things are going good, poker wise. But...I have mananged to turn a small deposit into something to wok with finally.

I have been rather unsuccessful in doing much online lately. I have only been playing frequently on Stars for about a month now, ever since the fall semester ended. Mostly I have been taking big shots in MTTs and then grinding back through low limit cash games and SNGs...I actually have made most money through SNGs which is odd, b/c I don't normally favor them.

My best MTT finish was a not so great 60th out of 1028...it was a $20+2, so I made like $40...I was set up so nice to FT it though, I was about 20th out of 60 when I busted...I raised from SB with Jc10c and the BB called....flop of J high so I pushed....he thought and thought and finally made the call with KJ, I didn't improve. I have had a few other small cashes in tourneys, but nothing that looked like it was going anywhere once we made the money.

My boy Craig is leaving the country in 2 weeks to go study abroad...errr....get wasted in Amsterdam for 6 months. He actually is going through school to study business in Amsterdam. So we thought we should go to Tunica for a going-away party of sorts. The WPT World Poker Poen and the WSOP Circuit Event will both be going on so the Grand and Gold Strike should be the place to be, and maybe we will get to see some of the high-limit poker players we read about like in the past. There is a 1k buy-in on Saturday, and I think we are going to try to satellite into it and maybe one of my buddies my buy str8 in. Its gettin kinda hard to right about the low limits my friendsand I still play the older I get and the more the money I am making at these levels becomes less and less gratifying. It seems like I may never get anywhere as far as a big bankroll without taking down one of the big MTTs that I play b/c I usually think of something I want to buy outside of my normal expenditures and cash out and do so.

So Tunica should be a blast this weekend, and I will report on my trip when I get back. I m thinkin about writing a "Goals for 2007" blog for myself like last year, but my number one goal is to graduaute college which has nothing to do with poker, so we'll see. Until next time, GOOD NIGHT NOW!

Wow, its been awhile...more like 1.5 months. I didn't quit updating on purpose or for any particular reason other than time conflicts. And the lack of my poker playing for the 2nd half of the year. My poker playing, at least online, all but stopped when school started back at the end of August. I had a pretty tuff schedule this semester and I work almost 40 hours a week, so the time committment needed for online poker, esp. MTTs, was not there. I also didn't wuit playing b/c of that stupid act in my last post like some of you, or like some of you thought I did.

Anways, again I don't have much time, but did want to let you know that I was still alive. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, b/c I did. My lil boy is going to be 3 in Jan. so this year was fun. I could start using the "Santa won't come if your not good" threat finally, but still not quite old enough to really understand and for it to work with precision.

I will start trying to update at least once a week. I am out of school until jan. 16th and should have plenty of time to play and post some results. I haven't really been doing anything much lately. A couple of cashes in some MTTs but gettin screwed or going card dead when it really counts.

Looking foward to Tunica in January. The poker world comes to the Vegas of the South, which isnt far from me, and I will be spending as much time there as I can.

Sorry I haven't been able to post in awhile....school has kept me from playing very much.....I leave the house for work at 6:50am and dont get home until about 8:30pm after school/work.....Well all the talk is about this new dumbass law that our wonderful country passed, and the only reason they did was b/c they weren't making any money off it...Anywayz....I could bitch for days about how much I hate that they(GOV) even attempted to take online poker away from me. It has been awhile, I know...I really don't get to play even half as much as I used to because of my school schedule....I work 8-5 M-F and then I go to school afternoon/night and Mon. and Wed. I dont get home until like 8:30. So I can't make the time commitment for MTTs very much on week nights anymore, and I am always busy on the weeekends...Don't get me wrong, I am still a loser gambling degenerate...Its now football season, so I am in weekly pots as well as occassional wagering on Bodog...I don't have much to show for the little I have played, I have been playing pretty well in MTTs, gettin chips early and holding on to them for the 1st couple of hours, only to misplay a hand or get shafted by some idiot who tries to give his chips to me.

I am not much a freeroll guy, mainly b/c there are usually to many people for to small of a prizepool, and its not worth the time...Well, PokerSavvy had been pimpin this freeroll, part of their blogger tour, for quite some time, and I figured I would atleast check it out...It was a $1000 prize pool, which many are, but it only ended of having 21 people....now thats +EV....Top 3 paid...500, 300, 200....I played really well, and got 3rd....I mainly wanted to just make the money, so when I did, I got KQos next hand and pushed only to get called by Ax and lose....but hey....FREEROLL....like 1.5 hours maybe....Ill take $200 every day of the week...

So , I will try to keep this updated as much as possible, and will continue to play as much as possible...If anyone that reads this, that is a college student and would be interested in getting Cardplayer College for your organization for free, contact me....I am a Campus Rep for them here in Arkansas....Late

2nd win slips away again

Well....Comcast is not to blame this time....just a little runner runner. I have continued to play to 1$ MTTs since my last post...but more on that a little bit. Make my 5th final table sitting in about 3rd place out of 8 people. First hand I run into AA.....I raised in EP with KQ off and got priced in. No suck out....so ended up being a big hit to my stack right off the bat. So looking like im bout to bust out 8th for like 16$....ughhhh......Get a good spot to drop when its folded to me in the SB and I drop with Q9 hearts and BB calls with A10 off. I hit runner runner for a straight and get back in it. Hang around as some more players bust out till there is 4 left. Im the lowstack at the table so Im looking to pick a spot. Get folded to in the SB again where I pick up 33. I just drop to give myself the best chance to steal the blinds...( I dont want to raise a little to get dropped in and call my stack off with 33...I prefer to make the move.) Get called by K10 hearts....I flop my set with one heart on the board. I guess I celebrated too early cuz the turn was another heart and you can just guess what the river was. Busted out in 4th place for 45$. 3rd was like 60$, 2nd-95$, and 1st-150$. I really wanted top 2...but just got unlucky.

But since mid August...thats all I have done is play 1$ MTTs. Im trying to do proper bankroll management. It sucked at first....cashing and making 26 cents and shit...but I have turned 1$ into 77$ since and made 2 final tables. So Im kinda starting to enjoy it, so im gonna stick with it. I have now set a goal with this. It might take years to do this, but fuck it...why not. Im gonna try and conquer every level of MTTs on Stars till I finally work my way up to be able to go at the 150+12's( so were talking about having $7,500 in my account.) So once I get up to $100 off the 1$MTTs....Then it will be time to go at the 2$MTTs. Pretty much when I get up to 50 buy-ins for the next level, I step up. This might be totally out of reach.....but I dont care.....Im tired of going broke and this is the best way to keep a bankroll and just build it up. (I think) I will probaly try to keep track of this through the blog...but well see.

Tunica, Titan, and The Hogs

Last weekend, me and some of the boys went to Tunica, MS for a couple of days. Tunica isn't Vegas, and I haven't been, but it hsa to be second....I like to refer to it as the Vegas of the SouthEast...We had a hell of a time, and I actually didn't lose very much money at all...We played golf at Tunica National on Saturday Afternoon, four of us, so we decided to gamble and split into a 2 vs 2 scramble....Well, Craig& DJ evidently didn't get the memo that going to Tunica a night early and staying up all night drinking/gambling, not sleeping even five minutes, and continuing that until we picked you up in the lobby the next day at 2:30pm is not the best way to prepare yourselves to play golf. Needless to say, NateDogg and I were more than eager to get at this money making oppurtunity. And yes, we beat them, pretty bad, by 4 strokes..which in a 2-man scramble is far worst than just stroke play. Had a helluva a time and drank the whole round of course.
We got back to the casino and only could think about eating a good meal, and I didn't want to play first to get a comp so we could eat, but with Gregger urging, we decided that paying for a meal in a casino is the same as capital murder....so we hit the craps tables for like 15 minutes and then got $20 comps to the Atruim, which is quite fantastic...After we ate, which seemed like we ate for like 3 hours, we went str8 up to the poker room and played all night, atleast til about 5 in the morning....played $3/$6 limit which seems like a grind, but we had a damn good time, and after playing 6 hours of Poker, we got a $12 comp to the Atrium....wait that doesn't make any sense....Buy-in at the Craps table for $40, play for 15 min....get $20 comp....Buy-in at the Poker table for $150, play for 6 hours...get a $12 comp...oh well, it was still good when we used it...
We played in a $50 freezeout at Sam's Town the next day at 11:00am, which means I got little rest, but was suprisingly ready to go the next morning...71 players, Top 9 pay, with 1st getting about $1250...I busted I think about 26th after being severly crippled when my KK got cracked by JJ when he flopped his set, but 2 out of 7 of us that played made the final table...So congrats to Twitty and Coby...although it didn't pay excellent, still a good accomplishment, Twitty got 7th and Coby got 5th...After the tourney, we went back to the Gold Strike to eat, and then from there played a little bit more and then went the hell home...

Since I have been back I have been playing on Titan Poker again...not b/c of the wide(horribly small) selection of games or their awesome(mediocre at best) software, but because they gave me $50 for free...Friday night I had some drinks and managed to take that $50 down to exactly $15.50...On Tuesday night, I got on there playing retard-aggressive and managed to turn that $15.50 into almost $250 somehow, what a donk....but since then have slowed down and it has been nice to be playing some half-decent games with a little bank, and have went up even more since then...but one problem faces me...POKERNET actually issued the bonus and they say you can't withdraw any money until you earn 4500 Titan points, in fact, they say that Titan will lock up your account if you try...Well....I think this is bullshit, POKERNET, other than being in some sort of affiliate type program with Titan, has nothing to do with them, and they should not be able to control user's accounts/withdrawals, I tried to get to the bottom of this with the help of Titan's Online Support last night, which is a joke...The guy's name was supposed to be Eddie, and you all know that was really Mohammad Ouhskjdojd Ojdfiunweewfwjin Indsciudv Ammon...but he wouldn't say anything when I got down to it, but call the toll free phone number for the Terms/Conditions and insisted on giving me the number like 15 times....but I will figure this out, and plan on making a withdrawal far before I reach 4500 Titan points, so I will let you alll know when I do...

Until then I dont have much, only 9 days left until the Razorbacks first game Vs. USC in Fayetteville...so definately looking foward to that....Late

Razorback takes 25th in WSOP Main Event 2006

Well, a huge congratulations to Mark Garner from Little Rock, AR for taking down 25th place in the WSOP Main Event this year...I just found out and that's why I am a little late posting it...Mark aka MGCAPRI on Pokerstars won his seat in the $10000 buy-in ME from the ever so famous $160 Double-Shootouts on Pokerstars.

Hardly ever do you see names from the SouthEast US going far in any of the big events, much less the Main Event, and even more less someone from Arkansas...Mark is an investment banker in Little Rock for Simmons First Ivestment Group, and is already back to work, and I'm sure that he will know how to "invest" that $500k properly...Seeing that this guy live in Little Rock, he might participate in a home game around here somewhere, and I would like to meet this guy....

So anyways, Another big shout out to Mark G. for an amazing accomplishment...

On my degenerate end of the poker world, I haven't been playing much...just mainly MTTs, nothing big enough to note, a few cashes, but I have been real busy getting ready for school and what-not and haven't had the time to play, but me and guys(except Belew's homo ass) are going to Tunica, so I will be playin the cash games there Sat. night and a tourney Sunday morning....So I will proabably post after the trip, unless I have a good score tonight or tomm...Late

Thanks Comcast for destroying my chances at winning my 2nd MTT. Sure Im not too mad since it was a 1$ MTT. Im still pretty upset though. Went to a break with 10 people left and your boy sitting in the chip lead with about 265k. Blinds are going to be 4k/8k coming back. I go have a smoke and get a drink. Come back......Connecting...Connecting....Connecting....all I see. Im like ok....it will come back. After about 3 minutes...Im like what the fuck. So I go to another cpu in my house to get the dial up going....But then its got to update files for Stars and it takes forever. SO Im going back and forth seeing if the wireless is back...then seeing if the update is done. This goes on for like 30-45 minutes. Finally the wireless kicks back on. I rush back to the table to see the blinds at 8k/16k with 6 players left. And see the bad news...I got blinded down 200k. I have only 70k left. Of course I have to push with a marginal hand to have any chance...call off all my chips with KJ off against 99. No K....No J....6th place for 37$. Horrible payout for a final table. 1st was 187$..(not much...but a lot off of 1$) and I was in a great spot to take it down before Comcast decided to reset the internet or whatever happened. The only positive I can get from this is that I made another final table. Only thing I can be happy about. Peace

SNGs are pointless...

Don't have shit to say really...Can't get anything going worth talking about...I have decided that SNGs are pointless, although, I'm sure I will change my opinion back shortly and continue to play them. If I had the bankroll to play the $525's then maye I can see making good money playing them, or even if I consistently played the $50's, but I don't...I like to play the smaller ones because the suit and aggressive style, are faster than MTTs, and are excellent for 4-6 tabling or more...I am a winning player based on my results, and therefore SNGs should be +EV, but it just seems that I can only use them to build a lil money up or rack up on FPPs...

I did have a dissapointing run in a $20+2 MTT...like 800 players I guess, the late one on Stars, First place was just under $4000...to me anything but Top 18 is bad, but I do like to at least cash in tourneys like this only because I played well for 2.5 hours, only to go cold and get outdrawn the last half hour and go out like 25 spots before the money...So I will be playing more this week, right now I am currently looking for a quick big money score instead of trying to grind out a profit in the cash games, so I will be playing for a couple of weeks with that mindset and will be making a final table soon for a score of at least $2k...thats the plan anyways, which like many of you, Stars loves to ruin....

And I beleive Twitty spoke on this but I wanted to address it again...Not enough will the "Voice of the Razorbacks" Paul Eells be missed in his recent passing...He has gone to a much better place and instilled many memories in the minds of Arkansans....

Thats really the only thing I have to be happy about---too many donks online today. I started the day in 3 tourneys...

1. 75$ Tourney...308 people, I get knocked out in 104th when my A9 drops all in on a guy trying to steal my BB......myabe the guy thought he was live or something, I dunno, but he called with a J9, flop came AJ5, 4, J on the river.....yea, setup bullshit right there

2. 200K GRTD....1228 people...I go out in 424th when again, QT is trying to steal my BB, I have 55. I drop all in....guy thinks hes committed I guess, I don't, flop comes KJ6, so I then and there I was done for....blank of turn and I thought for a second..."maybe he'll miss his 14 outer--then a 9 hits the river for the straight and I'm gone.

3. $30 Double Stack Tourney--1st place--$3800, top 47 make money....I lose several races, SEVERAL during the crucial part of the tourney from 97 players down....I mean damn, if I win a few more then I'm all good.....I got out in 48th out of 341 people cause I slow played....OR cause it was another setup bullshit hand....
I have 19K left, blinds are at 600/1200 with a 50 ante, so I'm ok, but not great....I really wanted to go for the win here too, not just the money spot---but the final table---top 3 won a G minimum. I have AA on the button, guy in 2nd position makes it 4800 to go, he has 21,000 in chips....so I think.."I have position, and if I drop all in, he may not call his entire stack off only being 11 spots from money...so I'll call and he MUST make a continuance bet on the flop or its just bad poker" I thought I'd make more money that way, rather that raising him all in....so I call. Flop is 78T and I fckn knew I was beat....you know what I'm saying....your gut tells you he raised with a small pair and hit a set.....but you can't fold AA. He shoots 5K smooth into the pot....I instantly drop all in and he instantly calls with a set of 8s. UGH, I feel like shit. I mean....does he call if I drop all in preflop....11 spots to go to make money, put your life on the line with 88? I dont think so....and how I looked at it was I needed all his chips or at least as much as I could have got, because like I said....I was going for the final table-- not just money and 37th place. So even if I "double raised" which is gay as hell....he woulda called and still hit a set. If I woulda raised him up a lil more than double, he probably woulda dropped all in with the 8s then.....but I do not see him calling an all in from me there after I re raise him....I dunno, maybe, but I dont think so being 11 spots from money. Oh well.......

Cash games....UGLY....no one probably believes me, but again today....two hands....AA vs QT..I make it $20 to go preflop with AA...QTo, fckn offsuit I say...calls me from the SB...and I was about 3rd position at a 9 person table, so it doesnt look like I'm stealing. Flop comes KJ8...He checks, I bet $30...he calls...8 on turn, makes a flush also.....he leads out into me for $38, so I put him on a flush right there, but had the A of hearts...so I called....9 on river, no heart.....He bets $28 and I just call, and he shows the QT. I mean, just ridiculous...he was out of position, weak cards....led out into me when the flush hit, not with a strong bet either to scare me off---it was only $8 more than my flop bet....I mean....I just wish people wouldn't get so lucky...I dont hit flush draws nor do I hit open end draws.......Another hand...happened just a few hours ago....
I had KK.....this guy limps in....2 other limpers...I make it $22 from the SB....first limper calls $18 more......flop comes 237....two diamonds.....I lead out, $30.....HE CALLS. Q on the turn, no diamond.....I lead out again, $75 dollars cause I think hes on the flush draw.....HE CALLS....A on the river......no diamond.....I know I'm fckd if I don't bet cause he will....so I hope hes on a flush draw, like KQ and hit then Q or maybe 99 or TT and didnt believe me. I bet $100, HE CALLS, turns over A9 no fucking diamond. WTF??? I instantly explode cause I have no patience for stupid shit like that....I dont mind a beat if the odds are good....but this guy is calling $75 on the fucking turn with A high.....his 5 best cards at the turn on the board of 723Q was AQ973.....WTF, this guy is calling $75 with that.....I FCKN RAISED preflop, I had to at least have a pair or fckn A9 beat!!!! I mean, fck, the guy didnt even think.....Would I raise with less than A9 from the SB when 3 fckn people have limped in already??? I think fckn not! What, I'm raising with KQ there or A8? What a fckn donk. Of course he leaves right after that.

Aug 6th...all today, I had a total of 7 sessions....or 7 tables rather....I started with $400 each and started the day with $1628---after the 2 tourney buyins (I won a seat for the 200K) I was down to $1520.....My cash games went good---ended one table up $615...the max buy in on the $2-4NL tables is $400, so I had over $1000 on that table...its always nice when that happens....
But it also went bad today....at one point I lossed the full $400, only the second time thats happened, but that was my fault....I chased after a nut flush draw and had bottom pair when there was $977 in the pot, but I had to call $321....so I did, lol......I couldnt help it....4 people got all in....one flopped the straight, one flopped top two....one only had $90 and dropped in first with mid pair.....thats the fuck that got it all started.....and one had bottom set........so it was kinda fcked up.....and I never hit, top two turned the high boat for a pot over $1300. Oh well.....
In the end, I finished at $1386, down about $134 from my original start of $1520 after the tourneys......remember my two tough beats though---AA to QT and KK to A9.....Just ridiculous. I played with Lee Watkinson today for a couple hours on $2-4NL.....When I see pros not in alot of tables...I harass them andbeg them to come play $2-4NL with me...I know it sounds lame, but Dags and Lee Wat have so far.....There was like 10 pros online at once today, but they wouldnt come.....bastards.......Ivey, Seidel, Juanda, Hanson, Lindgren, Dags, and Farzod Bonyadi were all playing the $50/100 PLO for about 4 Hrs....it was a great table.....I have a pic of me vs Lee Wat, but I dont know how to post it......I'm going for a new goal too.....if I can get 2000 hands a day, I can get about $3024 a month in rakeback...if I can get 1500 hands in a day, I can get $2268/ month and if I can get only 1000 hands a day....easy for me--3 tabling it, shiiittttt....I can get $1512/ month......So Ima try to keep about 1500 hands a day.....that rakeback would be great..especially if I'm winning too....I could play some $5-10 and just be really tight....wait for great hands cause my rake would build up ridiculous....but I think $2-4 is a great place for rake...the blinds wont eat you if you are building your hands but there will be enough money in each pot to make a difference, so its all gravy. OK, I just read over my latest entry---I counted 3, maybe 4, spelling errors...so sorry. Also, apparently I missed a day---its Sunday, so the 200K GRTD. is today at 5pm...not Saturday-which I thought was today---but was actually yesterday---Im fckn tired. Wish my luck and mark my words---TOP 3 Finish today in the 200K and I'm not going to school!!! Yea, you damn right I said it.

Hello ladies, Mr. Rizza again. I qualified for the 200K gtrd. on FTP tomorrow--Saturday--. I played in a 24+2 Satellite, top 9 made it, i think there was 80 players, so relatively easy if you didnt piss your stack off early. I was lucky enough to get some good hands early, some donk called his stack off on the 3rd hand to me---I have AQ, he has 67suited---flop is A73 and he calls me down---down to this river where I put him all in---I thought I ran into AK or a set....after that is was pretty much smooth sailing.....Made top 9 and YAHTZEE! So tomorrow its on like donkey kong in this 200K.
Another thing---Ive ran into some bad luck in my mission for 5K in 20 days. I still got my bankroll but damn, I should be over $3350 now, 3 hands have cost me a total of $1530. WOW, who knew 3 hands could do that much damage.....AA vs AK, AA vs Q8---go figure, called $20 a guyshot and hit, donk, I win large over time vs these guys....and KK vs QQ, QQ hit a set...though I did win a substantially large pot when my QQ hit a set on AA, so paybacks a bitch I guess you could say---BUT thats my only bad beat I've put on anyone, in fact---I DO NOT consider that a bad beat, listen to how it played out----AA limps, I raise, AA triples my $22 raise to $66, and I hit a Q on the flop. So ist not like I rivered him or some shit---not like my AA to AK, ALL IN PREFLOP $350 EACH---still cant believe this donk committed that much preflop with AK---and turns a 4 outer on me for the straight OR my AA vs Q8o, this prick limps in and then calls $18 more preflop. Flop is JT2, and he checks and I bet $20, call, 9 on turn. ALL IN from the guy, and it was $190 and I knew I was beat, but fuck!! I just cant fold AA unless its just OBVIOUS I'm beat, I thought he has KQ honestly, BUT why you drop in for $190 with a straight? I fold unless I have a straight, set or AA...which should have folded too.....ALL im saying is, the guy isnt getting a call 90% of the time, so it was a stupid move. It worked out for him, but he wont be a successful player over the long haul. So remember these tough beats and think of where I should be in my mission...instead its looking like this......

Aug 6th start with $400 $2-4NL end $0--thats right, thats what happens when KK runs into QQ and a Q hits the flop, yea---thats what happens. My first $0 moment at the $2-4NL tables. TOTAL $ 1305---I lost $85 from my $1790 in two tourneys--

Aug 6th start with $400 $2-4NL end $723 UP $323 $1628 TOTAL-where I stand now.

Quick note, my girl Leslie is leaving for 2 weeks to go home before school starts---YES!!! No, I'm joking, sorta. Its gonna be on like a mofo now for the next two weeks, 12 hour sessions baby. Its kinda hard to do that when your girl is here, don't get me wrong, I get my play in damnit---but you know what I mean, if it aint one thing, its another---"Lets go eat", "Lets go walk my dog", "Bend me over and do me".....I mean, its routine people, so the next two weeks, while lonely, will be great for my play and HOPEFULLY, I will be blessed and good things will happen to me at the poker table.

The 5th of August was rough and the start to the 6th didnt look pretty until I quit after the set beat my KK, took a blunt break and a quick run across the border to Taco Bell---and calmed down, started my 2nd session and I got a little back...still under my high mark so far of $2112 but its all gravy folks.

I wrote myself a note and placed it right on my fckn screen---it states :

3. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS--last 2 big pots, I told myself 20 times, before I donked my money off, TWEET YOUR BEAT NIGGA, FOLD! But I just couldnt, something about AA and KK, but I tell you what--NO ONE has went all in on me on these $2-4NL tables on a bluff--EVERY FCKN TIME they go all in---I am beat. So I have to pick up on that--no more calling cause I think I'm good, I wanna know I'm good.

All in all, my first week of this goal has been good and its not even big a week, more like 6 days-- so I'm hoping I am blessed enough to keep it up and good things keep happening to me at the poker table. Like just now, I had KK--haha.

....I'm still kinda stunned. People just try to give away their money in these 2-4$ NL tables and its great. Let me share with you, two stories of 4 outers that have cost me 1130$ so far. First one, its late bout 1am and I realize there are drunk people online and thats great, I get this guy to commit 350$ preflop with AK, what a donk, I have AA and the board comes 9TJQ6, same hand as I talked about in my previous post. Today, I sit down with 400$ and quickly, within 50 hands I see AA, KK, QQ, JJ and 99 twice, its a plethra of hands. So needless to say, I been raising alot, this guy hasnt been believe me and has already dropped all in for 202$ in a 42$ pot cause I bet 20$ on the flop. Well, I like to keep it the same when I raise and make a continuance bet....for instance, when I have AA preflop i make it 14$ into an unraised or unlimped pot, flop comes and I bet 20$. Same with JTsuited, 14$ preflop and 20$ on flop regardless, unless I out of position or a bunch of people called me preflop....but I usually dont raise out of position....back to my story.....I create alot of action by playing this way, people dont believe you over time and risk more of their chips and it only takes once to wake up with a hand and bust em, well this hand I have AA again and I raise it up to 18$ after two limpers. This donk calls 14$ more after everyone folds to him....flop comes JT4, two spades. He checks, I bet 20$ and he calls. 9 on the turn, and Im thinking he has KQ, so I checked to him, instantly all in for 178$...which is a smart play if you dont have shit and you think I am weak and I told him I was paying him off, I knew I was beat but I thought it was by KQ, not fckn Q8 offsuit!! I call, turns off Q8 offsuit and hit a 4 outer on the turn. Called 18$ preflop with Q8offsuit, hit a gutshot draw that WASNT even the fucking nuts if he hit it you know...KQ had him, if Im betting a flush draw, cause I will vs one player, if Im on that draw and turn a 9 of spades, hes dead. Just weak ass plays that I dont mind some donk making, cause hes only turning that gutshot 16% of the time and rivering it 8% of the time, so it really doesnt matter....over time consistent players are more successful that the donks that piss off money on 4 outers. Just fckn disgusting. Here how it looks for today, 3 sessions, first was ugly, so was the second, but the third......

NOTICE, I mentioned this before, I am not keeping up with CENTS, so for instance, I ended today with 1151$ for a total of 2112$, the last numbers arent the same cause of the cents ladies and gentleman. Thank You

Also, keeping you informed with my horse Joe, me and him split $300 so he could start what I'm doing in 2-4$ NL, he has gone broke. Yes, I know, hard to understand my damn self, he couldn't last a day, but he couldn't get away from AQ, on a board of A56 rainbow. Now, to his defense he did raise to 16$ preflop and someone called with a 56o he said, and flopped two pr, the guy led out....WARNING flags should have went off there, but Joe re raised from his 20$ to 80$ finding out where he stood--WHICH IS NOT A BAD PLAY- just seeing where you are at in the hand, BUT the only reason why I do not like this play is it essentially committed my friend Joe to the pot. It was roughly 1/3 or 1/4 his stack....Looking back at it, he says he shoulda folded or just called him down....and hindsight is 20/20. I like to lead out with a bet if I hit a set, or flop two pr, simply cause you will get re raised more often than not. Joe got committed and picked a spot, I cant be wrong at him, but after he raised the guy dumped all in-----he should have thought, WHAT WOULD HE DO THIS WITH AND CAN I BEAT IT? Place yourself in his shoes...what hand would you have to have to make that play? Bet 20$, get re raised to 80$ and move all in for 300$? Also, What can I beat? I can beat AJ or lower, an open end straight draw, and a bluff--since there was no flush draw out. If you STOP, wait for a min, THINK, and then answer those two key questions---you will find the answer you are looking for. FOLD. In cash games, you have to be willing to LAY DOWN big hands, you have to. Its just that simple. Here an example that happened to me....

I have 9T spades in the BB, first position raises to 18$, two callers and its back to me for 14$ more, with 56$ in the pot---3 callers of 18$ and the SB for 2$, I call, getting pot odds of 4 to 1 ...flop comes 4s 9h 8s....great Im thinking....but I check weary of an overpair in first pos. First guy bets 50$ into a 70$ pot--with my call of 14$---one fold, one call, back on me now--- 50$ for a pot of 170$---little over 3 to 1---but I think for a second....WHAT IS THE SECOND CALLER CALLING 50$ FOR?? If you have a set there---youd try to isolate, theres a flush draw out there and a straight draw. So no set I thought to myself. After a little debate, I folded. Next card, 3 spades. AHHH, I hit my flush, but is it good? First position, bets 110$ into a 170$ pot, and the other guy waits and moves all in....140$ more, so 250$ total----first position thinks about it, figures pot odds are too great to fold and calls with KK, one of those being a spade. Other guy shows AQ spades and was on the nut draw the entire time.....I'm not saying I'm the man or look at me, but I STOPPED, I THOUGHT--What does he have to make that move, the call? What would I have if I just called? Would I call with a set or raise? I made an educated guess and it turned out right and I probably saved myself some money. In the end it worked out, but it doesnt always work out.....til next time....

Ok, an admission, my 5K in 20 day mission is actually 22 days, I started the 31st of July and the goal is 5K by Aug 21st. Clearing things up a little. Im on day 3---doing good so far. I will tell you about a few key hands quickly...sat down with the normal 400$ in a 2-4$ NL game. I'm beginning to see the same people at the same tables each night, so the regulars are out. Some are 6-8 tabling the 2-4$ NL tables. Back to my hand....I had built my stack up to about 560$ when I was dealt QQ one seat from the cutoff at a 9 person table. 2 limpers, then me....I raise the pot--22$. Everyone folds back to the guy sitting next to me....he re raised to 66$ Now this looks like a hand here....but a few things hit me...guy limps in when others already limped..?...this gets deep here... skip this if you want this quick version of what happened.

couple hands earlier he had re raised me and I folded AJ to a board of Ac6h7c8c7h, after he led out on the flop and checked the turn to me---I bet 40$ on river and he made it 140$, and I thought he might have thought I was weak....but one thing I cannot stand is the check on the river and then a raise when your opponet bets, AHHHH that pisses me off...First off, if you do have it why are you checking the river to me, missing a bet if I check?? Just a donk ass play I think, I never check the river if I have the best hand I think, if I do check it, I WILL NOT RAISE if someone bets, I will merely call them if I was too afraid to bet my hand, but still think its good.

So I just dropped all in on the mofo, cause i frankly thought he was bullshittin and boy was I wrong, shhiiiiiitttttttt I'm talking about dead wrong. Big Dog had Aces, limpin in like a douche, but god flipped over a Q on the flop and I held up for a 1019$ pot. Bout 20 hands later, I have AQ in the SB, 4 limpers, so I just limp. Flop comes QQ3....check....bet of $12, I smooth call. Turn is another Q....Quads now. I check, guy bets 40$, I made it 80$ cause I knew he couldn't fold his boat for another 40$. He called....a flush makes it on the river, so it looks like I might have been on that draw..maybe...I lead out for 110$.....guy thinks and eventually calls. Nice little pot there. All in all tonight I did good, here how it looks......

I recently started a mission....I finally got my head out of my ass and I learned...I mean, I always knew this...but I decided I'd do it. I started playing 2-4$ NL, after all, cash games is where the money is at. I've always known this, but I always stuck to MTT's or Single Table SnG's, something I was good at---before I switched to 2-4$ NL I took down 7 first place Single Table 33$ SnG's...which was great...but the variance in skill and sitting there for an hour sometimes bubbling out was just starting to get to me. So, this last week, I won 1283$ in a tourney, so I decided to play 2-4$ NL with it. I am now keeping daily records of my play. Its been going great and I am here to give you an insight into my life and daily playing ventures as I try to get 5K by Aug 21. I call it my 5K in 20 day mission. Aug. 21st is where school starts back up and to tell you the truth, I plan on doing so damn good in my sports handicapping and playing cash games, I'm not gonna go back in Jan. But thats a different story, one youll be hearing about in Jan when I turn pro, haha. Ok, lets get this started...I had 250$ in my FTP account, and I shoulda sat down with the max 400$, but I didnt. I started with 250$, since then--July 31st--Ive took my 250$ to 1174$. So, so far I'm on the good side of it. Heres my daily postings since then...but before we go...one thing I must make clear, you wont see big swings most of the time in my bankroll. I am a tight aggressive player who likes to mix it up when the time is right, but I am consistent, I dont take make foolish plays that alot of people would, maybe thats why my stack wont jump 3K in a night, but it will in a week--god willing---cause I'm consistent. And another, in no way, shape or form am I "bragging"....I know my winnings are petty pennies to the real pros and online players, I'm small time. This is to simply share my experiences, no bragging whatsoever. These figures may be off up to 3$, I dont add in the cents or anything ok. So they are 99% accurate. "Im about a dollar, who da fuck is 50 cent"

...sidenote...i suffered a bad beat in a 700$ pot, I had AA vs AK, guy actually committed 350$ preflop with AKo, haha, idiot....but the board came 9TJQ6. Turn fucked me out of a 700$ pot or the profit is alot more from this session.

Also, my friend Joe started the same thing as me....playing 2-4$ NL, I half actioned him and we are going to split the winnings. So I wish him well with that. Ok, football season starts soon, can't wait to get these sports bets in the books and get the money rolling.

To the two other people who post on this blog...lil pistol starta (nate) and stomach ache (dornie) I suggest you two get on the posts damnit and keep this shit fresh, not this donk shit or in some cases, no posts at all. Now shuffle up and deal bitches.

It has only been like 3 weeks since I last updated, and I was going for a month of blogless life...Not really, but I haven't had much to post about, I have been very busy with everything but poker and just haven't played very much...The little I have played is not very exiciting, and that even further adds to the reason I have not blogged.

The World Series of Poker has been going on for more than a month now, in fact, as I write the beginning of Day 2a is finally here...I will be rooting for Matt Maroon as he finished day 1d with $83,150 and will be going into Day2b very strong and I am an avid reader of his and like his takes on the poker lifestyle. It seems to me that the WSOP is getting out of hand, in a good way of course...The finally tally on the number of entrants this year is up to 8,773...thats just insane...not to mention the $11,500,000 prize for finishing first....DAMN! thats a lot of money...even to the high-stakes pros who already have a lot of jack.

Since I have last posted, wifey and I went to St. Louis for a nice 4-day vacation...We did the whole tourist thing including Six Flags, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Laclede's Landing, Cardinals Game,etc....My wife also had her first live poker experience, which went horrible, and she now may never play again...to make a long story short, we were playing in a $1/$2 NL game with a $100 max buy-in...she sat down with $40, then wakes up with AA about 25 min. in and makes it $8 from EP...gets 2 callers....flop comes 7K7...shes drops immediately, and RandomDonk makes the call with 7s5s...it guess it was SOOTED would have been his excuse, but I don't see that play really...Of course, she is a woman, so she was pissed....I tried to explain to here that live games are considerably looser(at least in my opinion) and she wants PF calls like that in the long run, it will make her money, but she could have cared less at that point... I actually won a couple of pots, including quad 7s where I didn't get paid, but then ran QQ into KK...but in my defense, KK smooth called my PF raise as did 10 4os...and he made the reraise post-flop to get all 3 of us all in when the flop came 10 4 9....but running nines gave the KK the higher full boat and ASSclown with 10 4os was shown the exact reason you don't call raises with any two cards...But other than that, St. Louis was the shit and had a great time and we also got out of there right before they had that horrible storm blow through...

Again, what little I have got to play had been extremely steady...No big losses, no big gains...I can't complain about the no big losses, but at least I would have some material...I have been playing mostly SNGs and MTTs, with very little ring game play.....A couple of cashes, but nothing major, but I have had "that feeling" again that its about time to make a Top 3 in a decent MTT for a nice score, so hopefully that report will be coming soon...I think with summer rounding down and school about to start back I will get back into playing a lot more, atleast until deer season...So theres that....enjoy it....Late

Not mch to say for me, I haven't played in about 3 days, cashed out the majority of my bankroll to fund my vacation coming up this weekend...Have some really good screenshots saved at home that I need to post including a Str8 Flush that I hit late in an MTT...going to try to win some Sats into the 150-seat guaranteed tourney on Stars that will award at least 150 $12,000 WSOP prize packages even though I will just sell the W$ or let my dad play in it maybe...but I heard the 150FPP sats are pretty easy, obviously, not a lot of accomplished high-rollers play in FPP buy-in Sats....they use there FPPs to buy into events or buy monitors/HD TVs...notice how I use "they" as to describe them as some sort of rare species....anwayz...check out the sidebar, and I will update if I play and if not then I will let you know how my vacation goes...

100th Post

This is actually the 102nd post, but Nate has made the last two posts and he obviously failed to mention such an extroadinary benckmark in our blog. I have not been updating with any kind of regularity for reasons outside of my control(Vacation, Drinking, Going to the Lake, and Extreme Laziness)....I have been doing okay lately, nothing major, but I am staying away from ring games for ahwile, giving SNGs and MTTs a good run for the time being.

I have had some decent cashes, best being 11th out of like 1350 in the $5.50 Turbo on Stars, got like $60-70, but pretty dissapointing seeing that first was like $1500, so when I say decent maybe I mean okay...I had a good run in a $10 + 1 on Stars got 35th out of like 1200 or so...I was doing fine only to be rediculed towards the end by a horrible player/play.....I was getting shortstacked, but still probably had 7 or 8 people under me, so I needed to get some chips b/c I only wanted the final table, not just a cash...I raise 4 bb with 77 from the cutoff, and the small blinds calls....He checks into me on a 10 8 5 flop...I KNOW my hand is good, so I drop all in with a slightly more than Pot sized bet...He thinks and thinks....Time bank kicks in.....think about it some more...So even further I know I have the hand and don't care if he makes a call with two overs...Anwyays, he decides after the max time Stars gives you to make donk decisions that his A4o is good....I don't know why he even called the raise PF, but of course the turn and river brought 3 2 to give him a str8 and I'm done...seriously? WTF...I get so sick of that shit, I play seamless poker for almost 4 hours and am staring $3.5k inthe face and get shafted by some idiot who won't be able to take advantage of my chips...Enough crying about the shit, I just hate it...

I have played a lot of SNGs lately...to me a lot anyways...I'm not a big fan of them at all, I am just trying to stay away from the cash games for a bit, and I have had very nice sucess in the SNGs lately...Played some $50+5s one tables with good results and have multi-tabled a shitload of the $6.50 Turbo one-tables...I don't even really like these and you have to have a big sample to have a decent profit, but seems all you have to do is play really tight, get your chips in one time with the best and have it hold, then you should at least make Top 3, but I found myself getting a few 1sts and a lot of 2nds(due to my psychological trouble with Heads-up play as of late), but I will get that str8ened out...

Going back to the lake tonight as soon as I get out of here, so no poker tonight, but tomm. I will probably make a final table, I deserve it and have been playing well lately, so its coming..

Going to drink as much beer as I can tonight watching and then shooting fireworks, so I will try to update tomm night or Wed. Later

Super Monday

Just got off work not too long ago....hopped in a 77$ one table on Party. Took down 1st place for 350$. Bankroll on Party sitting at 626$...just enough to go at the Super Monday which is a 162$ buy in. Usually pays 30 k or so...sure Id have to have an awesome day but gotta go for it becuz I dont want to work anymore or at least for awhile so 10k or more would be nice. Finished 5th in a 50$ one table on Stars earlier today...couldnt get any action when I had something...tried to steal the blinds from the button or race with someone with K9 off but ran into AK....and that was it. Bankroll on Stars is like 92$.

Bout 3:30 am and Im still up and half drunk now. Hung out with big Dorn and got pretty hammered earlier. Had a pretty good time. Ive been trying to do the simply mtts thing for the last month or so....with an adjusted bankroll management then a proper bankroll mangement.....both attempts were not bad...but never did anything to be happy or motivated about. Just something bout cashing in 2 out of 12 of the 1, 2, and 3$ Mtts is just not satisfying. Sure if I keep it up, I might eventually win one but just dont have the patience to do that. So now Im back to something Ive tried to do in the past. Play big limit Sitngos and make money or go broke till I can go at them again. If i can win a couple....and get up like 400$ or so...then I can play one of the big MTTs with the best players online and try to win 15k plus. Thats really what I want to do is win a huge one like that. Since I started back on this Ive done pretty well. Finished 3rd in a 30$ 2 table on stars for 108$ pushing bankroll on Stars to about 147$. Just got done winning a 55$ one table on Party for 250$ putting me up to 350$ on Party. Probably try to build it up some more or go broke on both sites tomorrow and through the weekend and hopefully be able to take a shot at a big one next week on either site. Well see...If anything good happens I will post.

I have not been keeping this updated like I said I would at the beginning of the year, it hasn't been too bad, but I should post about something atleast every other day. Don't have much time to post stuff now though, b/c I am at work and have a bunch of stuff to do. Nothing too exciting as far as poker goes, couple of good runs at some MTTs, but some big dissapointments...also, have made a good amount of bonus FPPs playing those round 1 WSOP satellites.

Been kinda slow around here as far as poker is concerned...played some low to middle SNGs with varied results, and a couple of small MTTs...speaking of MTTs, played the $5+$.50 Turbo MTT last night on Stars, and if you are familiar with that then you know that it is very fast paced and you must win a bunch of coin-flips to make it...It usally has anywhere from 1100 to 1500 people and only takes about 2 hours 15 minutes to complete if that tells you anything...Well, I have only made the final table once in this, which was a good score, 4th or 5th for like $500....Last night I felt good about lasting until I get all my chips in with AA vs. 22 vs. Q9....of course the 2 hits right out the door and I go home...I shouldve got more chips in pre flop though, but I got what really wanted was 3 people or more in and just got unlucky....

Ok, sorry for the lack of posts/updates, have been very busy lately....been trying to get in some workout time after work, which can be tuff, and always is...But for right now, poker wise, I am back on the MTT grind...I am still playing some low-limit cash games and SNGs, but I am trying to seriously grind an MTT into a final table, I need a big score...and I know that everyone says that..but I truthfully believe that I can take one of these down or atleast get top 3....I prefer to do it in a $10 or $20 vs. like a $5 so that if I do take it down it will be $2500-$4500....I am confident in my play right now, but the cards just aren't running, played deep in the $10 on Stars last nite only to get all-in preflop with AA vs. 99(I reraised his reraise and he still called)...only to have a black 9 hit the flop and I dont get lucky, so Im done...just like that...doing fine, get the best hand, thank your goin to double, but instead the deck tells you to bend the fuck over and be its bitch...oh well...I guess thats variance, thats the #1 reason that MTTs are tuff, but there are people who consistenly dominate MTTs on Stars and are awesome to watch....One of my favs being Bill Ivey....this is a kid from Tuscon, AZ....hes only 18, and he just got done completing a self-charged goal on his blog of making $100,000 in 100 days....crazy, even more crazy, he finished in only 77 days...I really like his play and would like to learn some things about MTT play from him and others such as JohnnyBax, Premier, Johnster, MrSmokey1, Ozzy87, etc....there is a pretty big list...I think my biggest thing as far as bankroll padding and mgmt. is concerned is that when I have a decent score, I can really use the money, or want to...I can't just let it sit there and slowly build...I mean if I deposit $100 per say, and in a weeks time or less take that up to $1000+...most of the time I will cash out $800 of that and then through variance and playing over my limits, lose the rest and have to re deposit...its a never ending cycle...I am a winning player, however, most people that play, cash out, redeposit, I would assume are probably in the red in the long run, but I am in the positive for 2006 by a pretty big number, esp. by my standards, so I consider myself a winnning player, but can't always let the money sit in there b/c I need it....so if by chance any high-stakes players, accomplished players, anyone with more than $10k in their accounts reads this and has any advice...I would appreciate it, and also any from people closer to my level...

So with all that crap said...I think its about time to get back to work, I am getting ready to leave to go to Benton....But I have been playing with a str8 head the last couple of nights and just running into brick walls, but I got a Final table coming...so just wait....Late

Well, I figured I would make a poker-free update...I have been busy with a lot of other stuff and have played no poker, at all....which is rare, I usually get in a home game or some FPP tourneys or something, but not for about the last 4-5 days...

It has been a good weekend so far with 2 days still left...Friday night was an interesteing night...Me and some of the guys went down to Riverfest and drank for a bit, then decided it was time to go inside to a bar/club, so we went to OnTheRocks....I met wifey there and we stayed til about 1 and then I was leaving and she was supposed to be going out with some girls...So the night was just another drunken bender, nothing special, but had a horrible ending....

Had a good time yesterday, again drinking, this time for more than 7 hours str8..went out to my buddy Towner's house about noon...He lives out in the country and was prepping to have a grad. party for his younger sister....the food and drink was almost rediculous....Two Kegs, 50 lbs. of crawfish, frid catfish, a WHOLE HOG(complete with the apple in mouth), hot dogs, hamburgers, it was seriously one of the best spreads I have seen to date...So we drank, ate, and played horseshoes all day, went home about 9 i guess, when it was really just gettin crowded, but with a bunch of highs school kids, so i left...watched War of he Worlds(or part of it) and passed out...

Gettin ready to go up to the lake, get out on the boat, maybe ski a little, try to work on a tan of sorts I guess...might go bass fishing first thing tomm morn with my Uncle if he brings his bass boat up there....So , if I get in any poker today or tomm, I will let you know, but prob nothing until Tues. but I will be playing Tues. b/c I have to make sure and solidify my VPP status b4 the end of the month....LATE

Lil Update

Not much to talk about, but figured I would post anyways...Haven't played too much lately...I went on that big tear at the end of last week, make a big withdrawal to pay some bills and contribute to my new monitor fund...I should already have the new monitor, but I always "lose" the money I put back in the fund for it..

Oh yeh, I missed the damn PSO $25k freeroll this weekend that I had been pimping, but it had a horrible turnout and only ended being like $600 for 1st outta 120 people, which is still nice cause you didn't risk anything, but you know what I'm saying, I didn't miss out on like 5 or 6k for 1st....but congrats for sure to HighOnPoker who decided to play in it last minute, played the " Its a freeroll, I'm going all-in every hand" strategy and took down second place for $450...

Went to Chuck E Cheeses last night with Wifey and the boy and had some pizza and played some arcades, pretty much let Hunter just run around everywhere and put tokens in machines to stand in front of them for 10 seconds and then run off....good times... Well lost all my money on Party. Down to like 33$ on Stars.

Just busted out of a 10$ on Stars 483rd out of 500. Like the 3rd hand....i get KK...someone raises....I reraise.....he reraises...right here I think AA???....but I dont care who you are...youre not gonna lay down KK...especially early in an online MTT with all those donks out there...so I push...yep AA. Dont get lucky. Bye bye. The 2 MTTs I played yesterday and the day before...I did decent but ended up making some really stupid plays. So Ive gone back and thought about a lot of my mistakes and different things I can do to start doing better and I think I might be on to something. We will see what I do on Stars before I reload onto Party. If I get any results, then Im probaly gonna have to change up my system a lil bit...maybe try to manage my bankroll the way youre supposed to and start adding some cash games and sitngos back in the mix. I should start this "I'm the shit" speech off with the fact that 3 night ago, my account read $0.07 on Pokerstars, b/c I had recently made a big withdrawal and only had money on two other shit sites that I am doing PSO promotions on...Then my boy SupaStarr sent me $30 only so I could partake in the 5 billionth hand ceremonies...which I have been so gayishly trying( running 7-10 tables of micro limits trying to hit one of the milestone hands). Well, last night I couldn't take it anymore and decided that I needed to play a little bit and brought my balance up by about a bill..Then tonight I just had it, everyone has those nights...I couldnt miss, flopped a set every time I had a PP, made flushes by the river when suited, and had some gorgeous suck outs, bot to mention the people at the limit tables on Stars who just dont mind donating a couple hundred....With that said, I made about $675 in about 3 hours of multi-tabling limit games...mostly $3/$6, but then dove into $5/$10 for a bit more payout for my efforts...

So I guess I'm back in the LIMIT grind, I switch quite often, as you can tell if you have read before, from Limit to NL, and trying to decided which is best for me, and what I'm better at...and I get on those MTT-only binges a lot too...I think I am about equal in all, I do however, think that I am more proficient in Limit than any of my buddies that play religiously, only b/c I have played it more and have adapted a style that seems to work quite nice...WEll, enough of the "I'm the shit" speech, but I do have to share this hand with you...I pretty much play this guy like a lil bitch, he has AA which can be nice, bot when you are up against 4 of a kind...Not sure I see how he keeps capping it, but hey I'll take this big of a pot any day at these limits..

Thats a lot of hands...damn..I know Stars is one of the main sites and all, and has been running for years, but still, thats a lot..Well, if you can't tell by Nate having made the last 4 posts, I haven't been playing too much lately...Don't have much money and have been very busy with finals for school, but they are over, so maybe I can get some more PT in now...I have only been playing to try and hit one of the 33 Milestone hands as a part of their 5 billionth hand celebration of Stars...Its so crazy...For the first 32, you have to be playing at a real money ring game, and if you hit one of the hands( 4,945,000,000 or 4,950,000,000) then you get $2000 just for being dealt into the hand and $5000 if you win that hand...And the limits of the tables that have hit so far is pretty amazing...the highest of the 6 is $3/$6 Limit, and the most recent was $.05/$.10 NL, imagine...the people at the latter probably have like $25 in their account and just won at least $2k and one of them won $5k...Yeh its a crap shoot, but you ain't goin to get anything if you don't try. But this all leads up to the Grand Finale of hand #5,000,000,000...Just for being at the table that gets dealt this hand you get $10,000 and if you win you get $50,000....Plus everyone receives an entry into the World Championship of Online Poker Main Event worth $2500....I will look at it like this, someone has to win, so every time it gets close to one of these hands I will have 7 or 8 tables if not more open...When I get back to playing more normal, I will update again, I possibly might try to final table the 6.45pm $10 on Stars tonight...Late

Party- Got down to 3$....hopped in 3$ MTT. Did well in this tournament mainly because I tripled up with KK twice thanks to those donks that usually outdraw me. Then made some mistakes and had to make a move with AK off, and ran into KK. Cashed like 88th or something for 6$. (weak?....yes) But at least I can hop in another one tonite.

Stars- Reloaded. Played a 20$. Got good hands early but got no action. Then made mistakes getting involved with some marginal hands to where I got real low...(maybe 5 big blinds)..Got in with a good hand( AK suited ) against 1010, but no A...no K...goodbye.

Runnin Bad and Party is not helping

Didnt play any MTT's Wednesday night because I went over to Dornies to play and drink some beers. Pretty frustrating night of cards over there. Think I might have won one hand in the cash game we played. Had to work last night but hopped in some MTT's on party when I got home and didnt do very well.
20$- Picked up some decent hands but totally missed every single flop....Remember poppin it with 99 in EP, two callers behind me and the board came AKQ...not the flop you wanna see against two people. One immediately drops in...so done with that hand. Got low, had to make a move, got in decent with J10 against another low stacks A7..flop came 10, 6, 3 ( rainbow ).....thought i was good here....turn and river came 9, 8 giving my opponent a 10 high straight. Didnt last longer than an hour.
10$- Same story in this one....missed every single flop till I got low. Brutal hand was when I had Qs10s and late position....two limpers in front of me...I just call and see the flop of 2s, 4s, 5s ( I was like bet ) 1st limper makes min bet, 2nd limper doubles that(weak), I push, everyone folds to 2nd limper...he calls showing As,3c....(dont blame his call at all....flopped a joint and is drawing to the nuts) turn card is a blank and river is a Ks....welp done with this one.....Didnt last longer than an hour.
Woke up early this morning and played some more
10$- Actually doubled up early in this one...so I started to feel pretty good again. Then I overplayed an AQ suited and lost bout half my stack. Thought it would turn around in 3-way action....my KK vs 88 vs AK.....would have been sitting nice until the river card...yep...the big Ace hit. Got lucky and got right back in it when I tripled up with K10, somehow flopped two pair. Made it past the 1st hour though in this one. Got down to make a move time....AQ off under the gun....blinds are 200/400...my stack is about 5k or so....raise to 1k even, 3 callers behind me(shit)...flop comes Qc, 10c, 8h....small blind pushes with about 4600.....( I decide this is my make or break hand so I call ) other two in the pot fold....small blind shows AcKc....( One over card, gut shot str8 draw, flush draw )...guess I dont blame his move either....turn was a blank and the river was a K. Bust out like 129th.
Down to like 35$...probaly play another 10$ and see what happens. As for PokerStars, its reload time and Ill probaly get at that Saturday night.

Not too much to report...Hasn't really been a action-packed week so far....VERY slow work wise...I have been playing some poker most every night, mainly tryin to finish my Pokerroom.com promotion through PSO so that I can get another $100 Best Buy gift card, which will sooner or later go towards my new monitor...possiblt this beautiful Ferrari Series Acer 20" LCD...

I read about a new venture I am thinking about diving into on someone's blog this morning...It is call the World Poker Exchange, not its not a poker stock market like some of you already are thinking, its a poker room...The company is famous for its sportsbook, The World Sports Exchange, which I think is pretty big, and they have opened a poker room along with another 2 million companies, to try and profit on the recent upswing of Poker...The reason this sounds so nice, is because it is Rake Free...yeh, I have no idea how they make money, but they rake the tables like normal, and they return 100% back to your account on a weekly basis...This guy's who's blog I read this morning was talkin about gettin $1k to $2k back a week...he was playing 20/40, but still....Why not capatalize on extra money that you are going to spend anyways...
So I will be trying this out soon and will let you know how it goes...

Had a lil home game last night, played drunken 3 and 4 handed which is always fun, and I took most of the money for about $115 profit, and considering how much I had to drink compared to the rest of the guys, was a good feat....Update later, tomm or this weekend sometime...Late

Simply MTT's

Since my last post...Havent done anything to really talk about. I did cash in that Sunday tourney though. Although it was like 700th place, still turned 375 Fpps into 315$.
After that I cashed out 100$ and put it in Party Poker and left 215$ in Stars. Tried to just play MTT's but after not cashing in the bigger buy-ins and getting down to like 30-50$ in each site.....got bored with that. Decided I should play a bunch of sit-n-gos to build a bankroll and just keep playing the MTT's with a 50$+ buy in. Well that didnt work...I mean I did decent in them but it was too much getting up a lil bit then falling right back down. And when I play sit-n-gos non stop and dont make any big money off of them...I lose patience and really start sucking it up. So now Im back to the simply MTT's idea again and I think its best for a couple of reasons. 1.) I dont have the bankroll to be depositing a shit load of money to play cash games and sit-n-gos. 2.) Ill probaly only have time to play maybe 1 or 2 MTT's on Party and Stars everyday. This will satisfy my urge to play cards, this way I wont be playing numerous sit-n-gos and going on Tilt when I cant win. 3.) I think I have a good plan as far as what buy-in I can play with the money I have in my account. To where I will have many tournaments to play over a good period of time and when I go broke...It probaly wont hurt me too bad to reload. 4.) Also, I like the stats on the PokerDB. When I cash in a MTT, it will show up on the DB and for some reason I get satisfaction out of that. Sure when I get low I will start to have cashes in like 1$,2$,3$, and 5$ MTT's but I dont care...Still looks good to me. 5.) Last, this gives me the best chance at winning a big one again. So thats the plan and Im going to try and stick to it. I will cash out when I make some pretty decent cashes. Heres how I did recently. Placed 34th in a 30$ on Party...payed 87$.......Bubbled in a 40$ on party...my 33 ran into 99.......sucked it up this morning in 30$ on party...no where close to the money. Went out with 33 again...this time against 1010. Got 79$ left on Party...probaly hold on to it and play the 20$-40K GTD on Wed night cuz I dont have to work. Im low on Stars...played a 2$ this morning..bubbled. I like these but dont like these. The people that play these are so horrible and will easily give you their chips, but also they will easily call you with the dumbest shit and outdraw you. I went out with 33 in this fucker too, but I was in a better situation becuz of the hand this idiot called me with but he caught up...of course. Here it is.

Well, I am slowly gettin back on track, at least by my underacheiving standards...I have been running good the last couple of nights, mainly in cash games and SNGs, mostly cash games....I have scored about a $425 profit in the last two nights playing mainly $.50/$1 and $1/$2 NL short-handed games...I played 3 $6.50 SNGs last night at the same time for fun, and b/c they can be dominated if you don't run your Aces into 35o on the 246 flop, b/c some grinder thought he should see a flop with only a 3bb raise....anywayz, I took down first in one, second in the other, and didn't cash in the 3rd b/c my 10s didn't hold against QKs...

Ok, I really really want a new monitor, I have had plenty of opportunities to buy it lately, and just haven't....when I have the money, I don' t get it, and when I decide the time is right, I'm can'
t justify dropping $500 on a new monitor, just so I can 4-table without overlap and not have my eyes bleeding at the end of the night b/c I stared at my 17" e-machine monitor for too long..Anyways, I found a used 20" LCD with 1600x1200 on some site for about $357, anyone who knows anything about monitors, is that worth it....it actually says a "factory refurbished return"...I'm considering that an option, but if I can keep running good for the next week or so, I am going to get it finally, and trust me, you will know...

A couple of questions to anyone out there that nows more than a snake about computers...How can I easily start posting hand histories on here, I know everyone does it, but I want the simple version...lol...Also, how can I get pictures on here, I went to some free pic hosting site, but didn;t ever figure it out...any help is appreciated, just leave answers in the comments section..

I haven't been playing hardly any MTTs lately, just b/c I want to grind my roll where it needs to be, and then get into them heavy again, b/c as you know, the month of March was good to me as far as tourneys go...I will probably hit it pretty hard tonight and tomm, and see if I can't pull off a nice cash or hopefully a win..

WSOP Round 1 and some PSO stuff

Last night I played in a WSOP Round 1 qualifier. The buy-in was a serious 40 FPP with one rebuy and one add-on...One seat to Round 2 was awarded for every 4000 FPPS in the prize pool. There were like 1200 people in it and it was a turbo, so it didnt last long, like 1 hour and 45 minutes total...I got lucky only in the early stages, but I played well from then on out and knew I was going to get a seat after the first hour...I thought the set-up was kinda weird, atleast with the break....you got one break after 30 minutes, which is when the Rebuy period was over, and you just played the rest of it out without any more breaks, I actually liked it, and probably have played a tourney like this before and just don't remember it.

22 people got a seat in Round 2 with 23rd gettting 100 Fpps and 24th getting 40 Fpps. I decided not to play in the second round and just had the 4000 FPP buy-in refunded to my account, in fact, I had no plan to play in round 2 when i started playing Round 1, just figured I could use 4k fpps..Round 2 already had like 200 people entered in it and its not until Sat. at 3pm(which is a horrible time for me) and only awarded 2 seats to the WSOP, which would be wonderful, but would be a crapshoot...

I had everything approved last night on my PSO promotion and had a total of 15,000 PSO points...As you know, I have been waiting to get there so I could get that iPOD, but I did my research first...The iPOD shuffle(1GB) that they have in their points store for 15,000 points costs $99 at Best buy assuming there is no sale or you don't have a coupon. And as bad as I want to get one, that is one of the sorriest they have now, and I just assume to get a fiarly new model when I do....So I ordered a $100 Best Buy gift Card for 10,000 points, The Professor, The Banker, and The Suicide King for 2500 pts. and Greenstein's new book Ace on the River for 2500 pts....So instead of gettin dicked and gettin a $99 iPOD for 15k pts, I got a $100 Best Buy gift card(which I could use towards an iPOD) and two $40 books, at least I know The Professor, The Banker, and the Suicide King is b/c they only have it in hardback and I have been wanting it for awhile, but I hate books normally, and can't justify spending $40 on one...So if you have checked out Poker Source Online, do so, you have nothing to lose, and you can see how I just got some nice free shit from then, just for playing like I normally do.....Probably won't get to play much tonight, but will update soon....Late

I finished my promotion at Bodog for PokerSourceOnline...I am surprised that I didn' take me longer, b/c all I really did was 2-table $1/$2 NL or 3-table $.50/$1 NL for two nights and earned enough points to complete it...So again, for those of you reading who haven't tried PSO or any type of Bonus chasin, quit telling your self its not worth it and do it...I don't work for them, but think of it this way....You are a dengenrate, I mean first of all you are wasting your time reading the poker/life woes of some dude from Arkansas, which most of you think is full of shirtless, shoeless, teethless rednecks who have Rebel flags hangin from our porches(some of us do have computers believe it or not), and you are going to deposit your money and play poker aimlessy whether you are a winning player or not, so you might as well take the five minutes and sign up for a promotion and get free shit, just for playing like you normally do...PSO is not the only site that offers rakeback type promotions, Pokersavvy is another excellent one, so do it damnit....

After they check to make sure I completed the requirements I will have 15,000 PSO points...which just so happens to be enough to get a 2.0GB Apple iPOD...for free, yeh I know its not the biggets and the best , but I dont have one, so it will be nice...And for those of you saying that this is paid for by a small % of the rake they already took from me, I know it is, but if I wasnt doing a promotion I wouldnt be gettin anything, so theres that....

I am kinda mad right now, b/c I just lost two really big pots in a row on Bodog...First one I lost about $65 on a flopped set, with my oppenent check calling me all the way to the river where he made his nut flush....I was steaming and the very next hand I get 22 in the big blind, its raised $6 from EP($1/$2 NL) with 4 callers, its gets back around to me...A combination of me steaming, playing very loose/aggressive, and just not wanting to see a flop, I drop in with about $54...two folds, and then a thinker, he takes his time, and finally makes the "Smart" play and calls $54, which by the way is more than 2/3 of his stack, with JKo...And you know what happened...he didn't just hit a J or a K, but flopped a J, turned another J, and rivered a K...LOL to beat my 22 with a full boat...Great call sir, so I lost bout $100 in two hands playing $1/$2 and in both I was ahead and got outdrawn...thats poker I guess, but its still bullshit...

Going to go play some golf tommorrow, this will make 3 weekends ina row I have played...playing with 3 of my buddies, and we are going to a good amount of beer drinkin and just have a damn good time...Oh, congrats to my younger sister, who got her acceptance letter to UAMS pharmacy school after only 4 semesters of college and at the age of only 20...I am proud of her although it makes me look bad, b/c I should be graduating this year, and I still prob have 2 years left...And if anyone reading this knows anything about blogrolling.com, I need some help.. Bodog....

Well, I don't have much good to say about Bodog, will all its hype on its sportsbook, they didn't save much goodness for the Poker site...matter of fact, the only reason I don't hate it, is b/c the tables seem to be pretty soft, and I have managed to do well so far...

It is the whole interface combined that makes Bodog Poker suck, and not to mention the fact that it is very small, people wise...I did not realize how small of a poker room they were, I didn't expect Stars or Party,but damn, Bodog is some weak shit...Your cards are about the size of ants, which makes it even harder on your eyes when you play a 4-5 hour session that its already going to be...And the new Picture-in Picture way of multi-tabling sounded very nice, but it a joke...If you wanna play those peanut sized tables and not have any idea whats going on then go ahead...

I am really only playing on there for a promotion on Poker Source Online...When I finish this, I am going to get a Apple iPOD for free, and I think its a pretty nice one, so if you are a new reader and haven't checked out PSO , do so...and enter "Dornie" in the referral...I had a pretty good night last night, and chalked up a $125 win, mainly just two and 3-tabling $.50/$1 and $1/$2 NL...I was up more than that early on, but took a big hit when my KK ran into AA in a $150+ pot....But I already have 179 of my required 200 Bodog Poker Points, so I prob won't continue on this site for much longer, but I will be using the sportsbook come football season...I am not degenerate enough to gamble on baseball, but maybe a lil horse racing action...

Wut up...not much to talk about, at least poker wise...I haven't been playin got much lately...The little I have seems like I have been losing to makny races to more or less bubble MTTs, I have also been tryin to win a $650 WSOP Qualifier seat thru small-buy in and FPP Satellites, I wont be playing in the $650 qualifier more than likely, but you can sell them for like $600 cash, which I would like to have added to my account considering the little I am wagering to get this...

Easter weekend was nice, played some golf, dyed eggs, ate with the family...My dad, me, his friend, and 2 of my buddies got to play Greystone for less than half-price b/c of some Easter special, and its the nicest semi-private course within a 30-min drive...Played okay, but couldn't finish up most of the time, seems like I missed one key shot per hole...but a lot of beer drinking and it doesn't matter...My son had a good Easter, he got so much candy this weekend its insane..And hes like me, he likes to eat, so its hard to keep him away from it...Also, did a lot of yardwork this weekend, which I'm not a big fan of, but my yard looks great now so theres that...

Will probably start playing quite a bit tonight or tomm night...I am going back to the cash game grind I believe, I have been stuck on the MTT thing lately, tryin to get the big score, but only smaller cashes thus far, and my biggest gains and profits have been from cash games, you think I would stick to that..?? I haven't posted in awhile for really no reason...I could have, but just couldn't find the energy in my body to write about stuff that sucks...I haven't been doing well in poker lately, but I haven't played very much either, so I haven't lost very much money.

I think I was just starting to get used to cashing in MTTs about once a night, and giving a good run to finish big in a few, with a couple of final tables...VARIANCE sucks...! thats the best way i can think to put it, with Pokerstars steadily growing, the MTTs get crazier and crazier, but I will only play MTTs on Stars and Party, because the rest suck to me. But I'll get back in my groove, I know poker is a game of swings, esp. when you play a lot of MTTs and short-handed ring games...but I am still considerably up for the year and that, to me, is the most important thing.

I cashed in my first Omaha tourney since my last post. In fact, I got 13th place...it paid shitty, but was only a $5 or $10 buy-in with 500 hundred people or so, but still an accomplishment..I also made the final table of the $10+1 10-minute levels that they have on stars on Tues. and Thurs. nights...I got all-in from late position with A7o against K10s and it help until the river brought a 10 and I went out, sucks that I got outdrawn, esp. b/c I was making Top 3 at least if I doubled there...took 8th for $270, not too bad...

My wife and son are out of town all week, so I have been kinda bored, but I do like gettin to do whatever I want, all night after I get home from work...but her sister just had a baby boy on Monday, so congrats to them and wish them the best of luck....she will be home this weekend..Also, this weekend is the "Racing Festival of the South" at Oaklawn horsee track in Hot Springs...I am going to try to go, b/c the Arkansas Derby is on Saturday and the winner goes to the Kentucky Derby, and the last year's winner, Smarty Jones, won the Kentucky Derby...

Lost it for awhile

Havent posted in awhile....mainly becuz I forgot how to play poker or something. I went on a big run last month...playing the big 1table sit-n-go turbos on stars...ran 100$ up to 2k....lost a good portion of that in one night so I cashed out the rest of it becuz I got angry and didnt want to lose anymore. Since then Ive made many deposits and lost them all. Suckouts, bad reads, chasing cards, just a whole lot of shit hasnt worked for me lately. But what better way to turn it all around than this Sunday. I won a seat in the big sunday tourney on stars through the 4 table turbos they have. Heads up I was down to 8k...opponent had like 43k....came back and took it down. This will be my 4th time to play in this tourney. Havent made it too far past the first hour in the 3 times I have played. Making the money will be a big accomplishment and a nice payout. Who knows maybe the cards will fall perfectly for me and I can go all the way to the final table....make 20k plus.

New Monitor

No, I didn't get a new monitor, but I do want one, like really bad, but I don't know what exactly I am looking for...I know I don't have a big reader base, but if someone strolls across this that can help, I would appreciate it.

I hate my current monitor with all of my being. It is very very blurry and hurts your eyes, esp. after playing an MTT for 5 hours. It is my old monitor from an e-machine if that helps explain how it sucks so bad.

I have found a lot of monitors that I like, but will have to have someone tell me if they will work for poker or not...of course they will work, but I have always heard that you have to have 1600x1200 res. to be able to run 4-tables without overlap...I have found plenty of monitors, but that, but just don't like the way they look...I really want this 20" LCD Flat panel by Acer that I found called the F-20 Ferrari...check it out...Acer Ferrari Line...but it has 1680x1050 max. res. which would mean the the 1050 is slightly under the 1200...So will 1680x1050 run 4-tables without over lap, will it be damn close, or not work at all unless it is 1600x1200????? If someone can please help that would be great, you can email me at AConstantGrind@comcast.net...

Cashed in a $3 rebuy for the first time last night, kinda sucked b/c I went out 145th outta 2300, which is nice, but the profit was minimal, but hey....It was a cash, and that okay with me, but first was 5k and I deserve it more than the guy that got it I guarantee you...lol

Well, I dont have much of anything to report...AS far as poker goes I am at a stalemate, which is far better than hating it b/c I am playing horribly as losing significantly...im not losing too bad, I make up for my losses and just have been stayin pretty close to even for almost a week now..

I have been playing some MTTs and have figured out how to make it deep almost every time, but just haven't been able to execute and reach any final tables lately, whether it be bad beats or some donk, doesn't matter, but just kinda dull.

Looking foward to Memphis in May and to the Jermain Taylor fight in Memphis in June, that will be a big weekend...but I will get back at ya, after I make this final table tonight...Late

Yes you are still at the right place, some of you quick minded ones might have thought you accidently landed on some French mime's blog...The title means "so so" in French or just alright...thats a short way to sum up this weekend and last night...Nothing spectacular on either side, loss or gain...I was on the go a lot so I didn't get just a lot of playing time, but just nothing really worth telling about..

I did get another shot at a MTT final table, $5 or $10 buy -in with 2051 entrants, I finished 30th, which the pay out was just stupid for almost 4 hours of playing, but I played well, and dominated early on, but had some nast beats towards the ends and a couple of bad calls when short stacks pushed into me...I went on with AQo, was on the button and pushed after it had folded around to me with 61k...blinds were 6000/12000, Big blind thinks but calls fairly quickly with 22 and it holds of course....Oh yeah, I neglected to mention that not only did he only have to call about 49k more, but he was also the chip leader in the tourney with almost 400k, so I don't blame him, it was a race and he knew that, and he won.... I will live to breathe another day...

So fairly uneventful...outside of poker, this past weekend was awesome, Kid Rock puts on I think the best concert I have ever been too, not a big fan outside of live, but he puts on a hell of a show..He even did a cover to "Free Bird" with a giant pic of Ronnie Van Sant on the Jumbotron, which was awesome, and emiotional to some...Went to the horse races Sat. for one of my buddies bdays, didn't cash one ticket in 8 races and left...I hit the Superfecta last time though for about $450, so I was expecting to have an off day....Going to prob play in the $30 +3 MTT on Staers tonight with Nate, so will update on that tomm or something....LATE

Happy Friday to everyone...today is a beautiful day...Last day of the week, my bankroll is fat, the Hogs play in the 1st round of the NCAA tourney, and going to see Kid Rock tonight....many, many things to be happy about...I just love life and family in general...

So, I am a little happy about the way things have been going for me, on and off the felt...On the virtual felt, things are looking up and have actually never been better....I booked a nice win the night before last, my first profit of $1000 in one night without having played any tourneys, all cash games....all $2/$4 NL cash games in fact...I believe that thye are softer than both the $1/$2 and the $3/$6 games, alteast on Stars....Things are really starting to look up for me, I have been making in a lot deepers in MTTs and as of late have had some decent cashes, and have been consistently winning in the ring games....I honestly think my game is improving, I am pretty confident in my play, but I think I am getting better...

My goal for this year was to make $10k...And with the money I have been making so far, I could reach that by July, for real...I do need to keep playing my same game and not change anything b/c I have more padding on my bankroll, and just keep doing the damn thing...

My wife even cashed in here first online MTT the other night...so props to her...but thought I would just let all my avid readers(LOL) know whats been goin on and spread my bliss...Going to Kid Rock tonight, and then prob to the Horse Track tomm, so I will update sunday or Mon....

Well, poker has been fun and profitable as of late....I cashed in another tourney last night, just a $3 +.30 so no good money, but it is a cash, and I played super aggressive the whole way which worked, I was in the top 10 for the majority of the tourney and still was when I got busted..

The $2/$4 NL Cash games were hot last night and were FULL of donks just willin to pay my bills, so thanks to "stealurmoney" and many others for the donations...I won two $450+ pots in about a 25 mintues span, which is always nice, and I only sat down with $160...I lost a couple pots and then won some more small ones, and when I quit had made $600+ in about an hour and those two diff tables....I could definately have no problem with working the rest of my life for that wage....got to go back to work....update later...LATE

Well, today was okay, made some decent money in the cash games and a few SNGs....all in all nice...

I also had made it deep in another $10 on Stars, only to get raped towards the end...and i know you are prob thinkin I just tryin to blame it on something, but I'm not....Played nice for 3+ hours down to top 3 tables sitting in about 9th in a very close field..Wake up to QQ in the big blind...4 people call the 2xBB raise, yeh double the big blind, and of course I come over the top for all my chips, I have every one in the hand covered, but this idiot calls of all his chips after thinking with AQo...flop all blanks, turn blank, River Ace....WHAT!?!?!? I know this sites not rigged, but damn, give me a break....that left me with 25k, and I really just wanted to make it to top 18 for a small improvement in money, and busted out 22 when my AK couldn't improve against JJ...So 3.5 hours for $50, definately not worth it, but as I have said, I am very proud of my improvement and have been consistently going deeper in these MTTs, hopefully it will be a permanent trend...

Also damn near made the money in a rebuy tourney finally only to get shot down in the end...$3.30 + Rebuys....Play for 3+ hours yet again, actually same time as $10...Push with KK under the gun(after having raised the previous 2 pots) and only cat at the tasble that has me covered makes the 30k chip call with 44....don't see that play, but hey...I'm not him...Of course a 4 comes on the river....yes, on the river, not the flop or turn where it wouldn't have make me puke, but on the River...busted out 3 hundred something with 243 paying...so close, but no cash...Sucks to play in a tourney online for 3.5 hours and not even cash...

Lost a couple SNGs today, nothing spectatcular at the cash games, but still ahead for the month and thats what counts...Late

Brokeback Poker...

I don't even know why I titled this post that, but it seemed funny....don't know if you all have heard the references...but Brokeback and Brokeback Mountain(referring to the movie about gay cowboys) are now just other words that we can use to describe fags and other things that are gay.

Anyways, its Monday, which always sucks, not to mention that I am at home sick from work, which is good and bad, I don't like sitting home all day, but I do get to play plenty of poker, and probably make a lot more money than my job pays...Well, nothing special has happened since my last post, with the exception that I bubbled the final table of a $10 on Stars yesterday....First place was $2900 and I played immaculate poker only to have this hand come up...Over-agressive player with A3o in big blind comes over the top of my 4BB raise all-in for another 60k in chips, leaving me with 34k, shortstacked....but I make the call with ^^ as I know I am ahead and this will put me in the top 3...Well, of course, Lee Jones likes to see donks win and spikes an Ace on the River, and I am down to 34k...I move in with Q10o from the Big blind and small blind has to call, has 6 10s, I am in dominating position to double up and make the FT, but of course, right out of the door is a 6, so I lose....4 hours, $100 profit, not bad, but I wanted the FT for my stats and the bigger money of the Top 5, but I am improving to say the least....I am starting to consistently make it deeper in these MTTs and I will take down a huge 1st place, and I mean huge, by the end of the year...I love grinding it out, but I am good enough, and plan on having a good cash or win before to long in a big- buy-in event on here....

I also did a little 5 SNG challenge for myself, $6+.50 Turbo One-Tables, which showed me what I already know, I can consistently make the money unless a donk takes me out early....Out of 5 the results were: 8th of 9(-$6.50), 7th of 9(-$6.50), 2nd of 9(+$9.70), 3rd of 9(+$4.30), 1st of 9(+$20.50)....So I spent $32.50 total on buy-ins and got a total of $54 back, for a grand total profit of $21.50....big deal...just thought I would do this, and I played them all at the same time, which was fun...so....playing right now in a few MTTs and one SNG, will update later....Late

I have not done so well since my final table experience last wednesday...I have been bubbling many SNGs and gettin my money in with the best in the cash games, only to get kicked in the nuts by some Donk on the river...I am still in the positive for the year, so I am technically only losing winnings, but it still hurts to lose 1/4 of what you've made in 3 months in about 3 days...
I hate cashing out, I do not know how many times I have to complain about this, but every time I cash out, I have bad luck immediately following..

I do not however think that it is all bad luck. In fact, I know what the problem is, and I still don't make an attempt to fix it...I work up my bankroll, and at the same time I am progressively moving up the limit ladder, and then when I leave myself only $200 for example to play with, I still feel the need to play $2/4 NL to maximize my gains, and usually grind it up a little, only to make a bad move or someone donk me of all my chips...SO...what am I goin to go...prob keep going about it the way I have been...I can not leave ALL the money I make in my account for many reasons...I have a young family, am still in college, and have to pay bills, and I also don't have a six figure income at my job, so....there's that...But I do consistently win, even if I do have brutal downswings, and periods where I may not play for a week or so...So poker is good to me in the long run b/c I am a winning player, even though it may be on a smaller level than some...

I am going to try to start playing more MTTs, b/c I just simply don't play in many....I seem to think the ring games are my bread and butter, which they are, but I have had decent results in the few MTTs I have played, but then there is the issue of time commitment for MTTs, which is a topic I won;t even get into...

Outside of poker, everything is good...The Hogs are finally doing good, with the exception of busting out of the SEC tourney to Florida, but they WILL, mark my words, be a legitimate threat in the Big Dance....Drank here for a bit last night watching the game with a pretty good crowd, and then went to a club called On The Rocks in the Rivermarket and get biligerently(?) drunk and had a great time...

Well I finally did it...I made the final table in one of those $5+.50 Turbo MTTs...I have played so many of them over the last year or so, only b/c they offer good returns if you make the final table and they are so quick b/c the blinds go up every 5 min. like in a turbo SNG....

They are every Tuesday and Thurs. night on Stars at 9:39pm precisely, and they have them other times too, but these are the only ones I play in...You have to play aggressive, or not so much aggressive, as you just have to get all of your money in a shitload of times and hope for the best. Because of the blind structure and fast levels, this tournament is comprised of coin-flips, and a lot of them, it is commonplace to see a 4-way all-in pot, with the worst hand preflop sucking out on the river. This is not to say that I just donked my way to the Final Table, you do have to make good moves, its actually very tough skillfully towards the end.

I finished 5th out of 1716 people, which payed out about $438 and added another final table to my stats....This is probably the most I have caught pocket Aces in a tourney ever, probably like 5 or 6 times....and yes i know, anyone can win with cards like that....But it was a nice cash and a very action packed two hours....First was almost $2000 which would have been a lot nicer, but I went out with AKo vs. QQ and didn't improve, so at least i didn't blind out, I made a move at the wrong time. I did lay down JJ to a bet that put me all in so that I could make the final table, which I thought showed discipline although I am sure I had him dominated....

I played two $15+$1 SNGs as well, won one, and bubbled in the other....I also played a $20 +$2 MTT and was sitting above average after the first hour break, when I was dealt AK in the small blind with blinds at 100/200....4 limpers in the pot when 'Aggresive Donk' raises to 750, what!?!? well it gets to me and I instapush for like 3900 total to take down this big pot right there....'Aggressive Donk calls after thinking forever with 22....I think this is a horrible call, I mean at best I have two random over cards on him...he calls all but 100 chips with pocket dueces, stupid...but of course it holds and I'm out...so whatever...

What up?? I know it has been forever, like more than 2 weeks.....but as I told you before, I had my personal computer use at work cut back in a big way, and that prevents me from keeping my blog updated like I should....or at least its a good excuse, I could do it all at home, but usually, the short time I am at home before bed, I am playing or doing something else....So onto poker...

I have managed to get a little run going as of late, and then last night I decided I don't like money and would donk it all off to the ever so receiving douches at the $2/$4 NL tables...Nothing spectactular, but I had been doing very nice at the NL tables(which is a change, I usually play limit) for about 4 days str8, which I know to anyone that it halfway good, is not a run of any sorts, but I had made more than a 1k in a short time, playin gonly $2/$4 NL and a few SNGs, and then in a bout 24 hours, lost it all.....yes.....broke, bitch! I did manage to cash out a lil more than $200 to save some of my self-esteem...But I will redeposit and get going again I am sure, and just hopefully make better decisions when I start to get a lil money...And I've got to make myself quit playing when I am on tilt....I KNEW i was tilting last night with my last 200 or so and still manage to make horrible calls and push when i shouldn't and just in general DONK it all off....

AS far as life goes, everything is great....My little one is getting to be a hoss, and work is well, and school is going as always....I was announced recently that Middleweight Champion of the World Jermain Taylor, who is have met more than once, is from here, and my wife has done a root canal on, is going to be fighting Winkie Right in Memphis at the FedEx Forum...the big fights like this are always in Vegas as many of you know, and told myslef I was going to go either way, but this will be one helluva weekend......Memphis(Beale St.), Platinum Plus, Tunica, lots of alcohol, sounds perfect....

The Razorbacks finally got their shit together and have won 5 str8 games, which is cool....It hasn't been very fun to be a Hog fan for awhile now, and they made it to the Big Dance and I am looking foward to it...

Well, it has been a long time since I have updated on this, and my only excuse really is I haven't been feelin like it. Another big thing is that my personal computer use at work has been grabbed in the balls....So When I use to blog and read other blogs for quite some time during the morning and late afternoon, I can''t any more.

But February has been pretty good to me so far, no bad streaks live or online. I have went on a great run for the better part of the last 2 weeks, I have been making good and playin way over my head, which has a better skill level, and therefore makes me more comfortable. The majority of my recent success, was the Limit ring games. Back in late 2005 this is what made me so much money and then I thought I just lost the touch to play limit, b/c I was getting hammered really bad. But at least for the time being, the limit games are my bread and butter and have welcomed me back with open arms. I started off with $50 deposit and playing $1/$2 and within a week was up to about $1200, playing $5/$10.....

Congrats to my boy ChiefFoxboro for his recent success as well, he has been dominating the High buy-in SNGs...As he said in his last post, he beat out BeLOWaBovE, which is only once....But he has awesome success online and even has a Cardplayer article written about him....so congrats Nate Dogg....

Nothing really big has happened live lately....Some decent cash games earnings, with some minimal losses as well....I did hit a str8 flush in a live game a couple of weeks ago which is always nice....seems so much harder to do live, I guess b/c you see 15-20 hands and hour compared to 100+ hands an hour....Off work this coming Friday....going to the horse track with my family, and that night is the $120 buy-in Tournament of Champions for the A.P.P.A. out in Conway and I will try to play in that...Well, I really will stay updated this week...Late

I made another final table about 2 weeks ago. It was a 10$ Mtt on stars....like 500-600 people...finished 9th when I knew big stack had AA but I couldnt get away from my QQ. Payout sucked..only profited like 80$....could have went deeper if I would have just let the QQ go. Since....Ive just been trying to build a bankroll through sit-n-gos. Last week...ran a 100$ up to 640$. Last night....I got outdrawn many times and dropped to 220$. Up now to 750$ after taking down a 105$ sitngo on stars. Payed like 470$. The cool thing about it...(well its really cool to me) The person I got heads up with in the end was a well known Internet player named BeLOWaBove. Him and a group of guys have been tearin up online poker. I had him 3 to 1 when we started....Then after bout 8min...he had me 3 to 1. By this time..I could tell he was just trying to run me over. 10 min later I was back ahead having him 3 to 1 letting him bet right into me. Then it came down to an all in showdown. He pushed with a J8 offsuit and I called with my K8 offsuit(had him dominated) and spiked a K on the flop to just put it away.

I finall made a good cash last night....In just over 7 hours I turned my $3+.30 buy-in into $807.25...I feel pretty good about it....The tourney started with a rediculous 3215 people and I outlasted 3211 down to 4th place...I should have done better than 4th though, but I did however make more money in the tourney than anyone else. When we got down to 6, we chopped it by chip count and I was in first with a little more than $1 mil in chips, so I agreed to $807.25 and we left $100 for the winner...I played super aggressive after the deal and went out in 4th...actual 4th place money was only $453, so the deal was pretty damn awesome. And what makes this even better is yest. only had $3.55 left in my account and was going to have to make a deposit, and I almost played a small SNG to burn time, but deicded to try and grind my way through 3200 people. It payed off and is my biggest tournament cash thus far and longest I have ever played str8....So hopefully I can keep this up, these good finishes, and cash big soon...I don't like the variance on Stars tournies, but its unavoidable...So I will continue to grind it out....

Well, this is just a post, b/c I am a dork and daily I read many,many blogs of the high-rollin cats that are more or less "online pros"....Its just crazy to think that they started out just like I did, most of the ones that have had big results in MTTS and what not, started off with a little bitty bankroll playing SNGs and low-limit cash games...Now they are spending $3-5k a day in tournament buy-ins and playing $10/20NL and $100/$200 limit games with a bankroll I cannot fathom..

But for any of you reading this that care, I found a site this morning that is a "buzz" index of the Top online players...I think this is a ranking system based on results people know about, who they see the most in blogs, and also a Google hit counter, which it shows on the side...Meaning how many times they have been googled in a certain amount of time...I read DoubleAs blog daily and this site came from his...TiltBoy's Online Player Index...this is basically a whos who in the online poker world, I has the majority of the big players...

Also wanted to drop a note for some of the other blogs that I read...Its just cool as hell to get a insight into the High limit online life....And most of them are very accomplished in live tourneys as well...First, will start with Chris Fargis who recently took down the $2k Triple Draw Lowball event at the WSOP Circuit in Tunica...

I am going to try and figure out how to list the good blogs down the sidebar of my site, but I just haven't even tried yet, but I will try to get it soon, and you all can start checkin these out...

Since my big win, I have done nothing but get raped. I have only had one cash in a MTT and that was 150th in like a 1$ tourney. I won like 50 cents. AWESOME!!! Dont know how many times Ive gotten all my money in with someone dominated like AK vs. K10....KQ vs. Q10....and so on....lost the hand every time. Played Dornie in 2 heads up games last night....one NL holdem...one PL Omaha....We will let him tell you the results. It was nothing big....just a lil practice for both of us. Went home drunk after that and hopped in some sit-n-gos on Pstars. I felt like I want to be super aggressive for some reason. Gee...Im drunk...I wonder why???? 1st hand I get aggressive with is an 82 suited of clubs....Im in like 6th position...one limper...so I open the pot for 120$..blinds are 15-30...guy behind me calls....initial limper calls....flop comes 2 10 2.....lol....I make a continuation bet of half the pot...guy behind reraises...I push....he calls with AA.....lol.....should have reraised on the flop buddy......I double up. Next hand I get KJ of spades....Im first in....so what do I do...RAISE...oh yeah.....flop comes and I flop 2 spades...checked to me...so I continue...get called turn is a 10 of spades.....some reason I just now pick up that the flop came blank..A spades..Q spades....The fucking turn just gave me a Royal Flush!!! So I get bet in to this time.. so I call....get bet into on the river....I raise for value but still dont get paid off....Picked up a decent size pot...and of course I showed all those donkeys the Royal Flush....got to show it... Got aggressive in another sit-n-go...got up....then lost good portion of my stack when i flopped top pair and someone made a dumb call with an open-ended str8 draw when my bet didnt give him the right odds to call...So I called him an idiot and said it was ok and I would win his chips later. And I did.....he actually wasnt too bad and made it to a heads up battle between me and him....He had me 2 to 1 when we started and I just ripped him up....Pretty happy bout it....Got to keep it up though.. I know it has been a long time since I have reported on here about poker, or about anything...Over a week to be precise...But simply, nothing has really been happening...I have been playing some low buy-in SNGs the last couple of nights b/c bills have really been kickin me in the nuts the last couple of weeks and I am forced to play with only what I currently have on there, which is miniscule...I have had moderate success in my SNGs so far this week though, I am 9 for 12 as far as cashes go, with a few firsts. I am trying to take a break from what used to be my bread and butter online...The Limit cash games...All of the serious money I have made was in these, but they have not bad good lately, and I am trying to re-evaluate my play and figure out whats wrong...B/C back in the early fall, for about 3 months I was dominating them, and was turning a great hourly rate at the tables, but lately it has not been so....So I have been going over hand histories from then and comparing them to recent and tryin to figure out what in the hell I'm screwin up.

Played the $5+.50 Quadruple Shoot-Out w/ Replay on Stars last night...Dominated my first table to get heads-up only to lose on some bad calls and throw it all away. I like this tourney b/c you are playing against your table and thats it...and the Replay would be cool if I ever made the final table..Stars replays the final table with everyone's cards face-up at a later date, which is kinda cool, b/c you get a small insight to what final table poker is about, and get to see how people play....

Will continue grindin it out in the SNGs tonight and probably play a low buy-in MTT and probably the $3+.30 rebuy which is always fun...I'm out...Late

Big Sunday Tourney...

Well, I finally did it...I won a seat in the Big Sunday tourney on Stars through a FPP satellite...It was a 400 FPP + Rebuys Turbo Sat. There were a 158 people with quite a few rebuys and add-ons, and there were 11 total seats at $215 a piece given away and 12th place got 6200 FPPs....I rebought at the very beginning before the tourney even started and began with 2000 chips, b/c you only started with 100, I guess b/c it was a Turbo...Well, I doubled through another 2000 stack on like the 2nd hand, and that propelled me to do good the whole time...I was in the Top 15 for the entire tourney...I got down low one time when it started getting close to the money, but most people were scared and just folded everything and I took advantage of that..But I did finish in 1st place...Techincally, the whole top 11 got 1st, but I have the most chips when it ended, with over 80k....So im glad to have done this, and will prob do this same satellite again...But I don't know if want to play in the Sunday tourney and just spend the whole $215 or unregister and use that $215 for a bunch of other smaller tourneys...I have always wanted to play in the Sunday...i mean thats where dreams come true if you will....We are talking $145 - $170,000 for first place....Some serious money, some life changing shit, So, I don't know what I am going to do, I have until Sunday to make up my mind, so I will get it figured out...Just on Sunday, the fields are so big(3000 +) and most of the "online pros" play in this one on Stars...So I dont know...But I will let you know....Late

Well, not much happening...If you read my last blog, I am a little upset with pokerin general...Having a beat put on you that bad, that far-fetched, for your whole bankroll can be a little deameaning to one's character...I realize that I shouldn't have been playing $1/$2 NL with only $171 bankroll, atleast according to "proper bankroll management", but I don't care...I don't use the theories of proper bankroll management, b/c I don't really have a bankroll...I am more than capable of playing 1/2 NL and lots higher...I just get started with what I have, and try to make a move, not grind it out at micro limits...and once I have a "little" padding in my bankroll, then I will start to manage it better, and play more appropriate limits...

Anywayz, last night I played a short while in a FCP charter member freeroll satellite. Top 40 got a seat in the Next round, which eventually leads to someone, a single person, gettin to fly out to Vegas for a week and have private lessons with Daniel Neagreanu and he will stake you in a couple of major tourneys and take you "under his wing" I think is how they put it...Which would have been tight, except for that I went out in 112th place...I also played some FPP satellites on Stars for the $215 Sunday and EPT Monte Carlo tourneys...I didn't ever get anywhere in them either...I think I am going to try to take a small break from online poker before I try and make my next deposit...I need to clear my head a little, and let that beat dissapear from my mind....So until then, look for something from Nate Dogg, I will update as soon as I make a deposit, who knows how long that will be? Prob not very long...LATE

Ok, as I write this update, I am also crying, not crying.....but last night couldn't have went much worse. Not the whole night though, just the ending, the majority or the night I had a nice session and just kept grinding my stack up and up....until.............THE $1/$2 NL TABLE!!! Ok, I will start with what a good night I was having thus far....First of all, Congrats again to my boy Nate for taking down 1st in the $20+2 MTT on stars Sunday night..and thats where this story starts....Nate was kind enough(evidently ignorant enuf) to shoot me $100 out of his 3k to stake me, although it wasn't much out of what he won, it is still $100 and the thought of it...So I spent Monday night grinding in MTTs, SNGs, and mostly limit ring games, and broke pretty much even for the night...to last night....I started off with a big downswing to about $44 at the limit games, so I quit those and decided to slow it down with a couple of MTTs...I hopped in the $3+.30 + Rebuys first and decided to play on a One rebuy and one addon budget...I started off the tourney crazy pushing on the first hand with A10....against KQ, but caught two pair to double up to T6000 and then the very next hand I get AA and push from the Big blind and get one caller and get up to T9000, so in 7 minutes and I jump to 5th out of a trillion....But that went downhill...I was being very pushy, taking down blinds almost every hand, you know, playing big stack poker, and then got my 10 10 called by A7o....and of course he spiked and Ace...

Then I moved to a $5+.50 PL Omaha MTT... I like to play Omaha and bettter my skills at the game, but to make a long story short....lasted til sometime after the 1st break and got busted...so then its back to the Limit ring games...finally some luck, or cards, or perhaps just good playing on my behalf...but I grind my stack up to about $110 over about an hours time....

So I start getting bored with the LHE games and you aren't supposed to play if it feels like a "grind" only, so I decide to give a shot at $1/2 NL....I sit down with my whole stack and play good for about 30 minutes and get it up to precisely $171 when a nightmare of a hand comes along....

AdAs....A guy in EP who has been aggressive all night raises to $6 and I know I have him beat so I make it $12, he calls....Flop comes Js Ah 9s....i flop top set, the only thing I am worried about it the flush draw and maybe the open-ended str8 draw if he held Q10....but he checks to me, and I shoot $20 to see where hes at and semi-protect my hand....He calls....Turn comes the Jc...This is my money card bitches...yeh!...Full boat...Aces over Jacks, and he possibly caught his 3rd Jack which would leave him with one out on the river and just get him to throw his money my way....He immediately shoots $25 at me, and I almost know he has hit a set of jacks, so I think and think....trying to lure him in and b/c I think he will call I push the remainder of my stack, $114....He goes in to the tank...lets his little Time Bank kick in and all, and finally calls at the last second, which I am just like extremly thrilled about, b/c I know I am bout to take down this $350 pot, which means I could pay Nate back and still have plenty to play with....THE RIVER CARD.......

10s.....For s short second I am happy to see he missed his fourth Jack....Did he make a str8, or maybe a flush.....He possibly even made a lower boat holding the J10....I am seriously cheesing b/c I am taking down this big pot and am thirlled about it, UNTIL THE CHIPS SLIDE HIS
WAY....WHAT??!??!!?!....He is holding QsKs for a STRAIGHT FLUSH!!! Seriously? I have been assed out in online poker many many times before folks, but I think this qualifies for the worst! He called $114 into a pot of only aobut $65 with nothing but a gutshot str8 draw and a flush draw....and he hit that one card....he had one out that could beat me....ONE!!!! Thats it, no other cards in the deck except the 10s would let him take it down...I don't understand his call, I think it was one of the worst plays I have seen and its just rediculous....I mean even if he thought I was bluffing, he called $114 with a king high to see if he possibly could make a str8 or a flush...B/c I guarantee you that he had know idea that he had a gutshot Str8Flush Draw....

So enough said...I didn't sleep very well last night as the hand kept running thru my head and is still now....Its almost not believeable...I mean its so far-fetched its SICK...I hate poker right now, but not b/c of my play...b/c of others and b/c you get brutally raped online some times...I am going to try to take a break from it, if I can stand it, b/c I could be susconsiously on tilt for days....So to Nate, sorry bro....I know you, and although you might have played it a little diff. you can't say I made a bad play....

I know bad beat stories can get old, but I think that this one qualifies as a Aggrevated Rape, and not a normal bad beat....but I have to steam as I lost my whole bankroll on Stars and I just hate it....So llok for an update possibly from Nate on his play, and me when I do.....Late

5 months of Blockbuster in 5 hours

Yes, I work at BlockBuster. A job that is not worthy of making a living on, but it's ok......I make just enough to have plenty of spending money and it helps living at home with mommy and daddy since that saves me from paying any bills. A good portion of my spending money goes towards this game we call poker. Last time I posted was when I made my first final table and got payed 300$.(one paycheck at Blockbuster) I finished 8th in that tourney and made a goal that I would try and finish better than that. How about coming in 1st fucking place bitches. OH YEAH!
So I hop in the 20+2 MTT on Pstars(821 people) and 10:59 p.m. Built a decent stack going in to the 2nd hour. Durning the second hour, Id get up and get outdrawn and go back down, but at the end of the 2nd hour I was up to almost 20,000 when my 10s held up against A7 off. Hung around 20k till I made the money(top 81 paid). Then the big stack joined me table. Key hand for me was against him. Im in the BB with K-10 off( blinds or 1k-2k)...Big stack doubles the blind on the button. Easy call for me. Flop come 10h6h10d. YES! I lead out betting bout 40% of the pot...he calls. Turn come 9hearts...scare card...I go for the check raise. He calls that. At this point im like Shit! Thinking this boy done hit this flush. River is a blank...I check...and he makes a bet that gave me like 7 to 1 on my money...So I felt like making the call...I call he shows KQ suited.......of spades.....Yeah bitch!...Im up to 71k now. Next key hand....blinds are still 1-2. Im in 3rd position with JJ. UTG raises to 8k, 2nd position calls, so I just call hoping to hit a good flop...everyone else folds....Flop come Jh6h3d. UTG makes a solid bet....2nd position calls...I have like 55k left and the pot was already like 40k..so I push hoping to drive out a flush draws if there is one. Utg has me covered and calls, 2nd position calls all in also....Utg shows AJ...2nd position shows AA...This was great because UTG was dead and 2nd position only had one out and it didnt hit. Im up to 155k. Make the final table.....got a good stack so I just layed back and played conservative. Then got involved with AK against two players. Flop is 10cQc8s.....I got position of both players. First player to act makes a weak bet...2nd calls....I have gutshot nut straight draw plus a backdoor flush with the Kclubs so I call because I was getting great odds. Turn is another club. 1st to act checks....2nd to act checks....I almost bet to try and steal the pot but I didnt want to get check raised so I just checked. River is a 9clubs. 1st to act bets....2nd calls....right here i just called in case someone had the ace of clubs. 1st shows 7s...w/a club...2nd how KJ w/ a J of clubs...I win...Up to 255k. Get down the 3 left...Im leading by maybe 7ok in chips..So I agreed to an even chop with the remaining 2 players...I really dont know if I should have done it but I was just so happy to be where I was so I didnt care. Even chop gave everybody 2490 and left 500 to the winner. Fine with me. I take out one player with KK and get heads up. I have like 800k to his 300k...This guy just outplayed me and I got down to 300k. So the only thing I could do was hit a hand and push on him. Get back ahead of him when i have A6 off and the flop comes 245. He bets...I push(semi-bluff)he calls and shows 85(top pair) turn is a 3 and I hit my straight. Next few hands I have A5 suited of clubs...Flop come 2clubs,9clubs, blank..He bets, I pull another semi-bluff, he calls with top pair again....Hit my flush on the river...I WIN! Ended up getn payed 2,960.(5 months of working in the movie business). Cant wait to do it again.

Happy Friday to everyone...I didn't ever report about my Tunica trip last weekend, b/c my last post was the whole year in review thing...Tunica was pretty damn awesome...I thought it was going to be too crowded to walk around, or at least thats what I heard, but it wasn't...Lots od damn people, dont get me wrong, but not standing room only...We got to The Grand at about 10:00pm sat night after having went to Beale St. in Memphis to eat and drink and little...Well, the Grand knows how to party, complimentary champagne, noisemakers, and party hats....The countdown was very loud and I got hammered real quick so of course I was having fun....matter of fact, I was already pretty trashed when I got there...

The only thing that sucked about the casinos that night, was alll the tables games were $25 min. bets...whihc to some of you high-rollers aint shit, but I don't play the table games that serious, so needless to say not much of that was done...We decided to go over to the Gold Strike after midnight and we did, I played a little $3/6 and only had one interesting hand, when i had QJo in the big blind and flop comes 3Q7 rainbow...turn was a blank and so was river...I called bets all the way down, no raises ever...I turn up my hand and guy next to me has QJ also, and I figure we are chopping it until the chic on the end turns up QAo and drags it, ended a little down, but not much....There was a fight in the poker room, which seemed to be the highlight of the night...3-4 people when to jail and some got their asses kicked, so good for the crowd....

When I say I keep bubbling....i'm not not going out on the money bubble every time, just that i have started my last few MTTs, since my second place finish, great....I have built up a nice stack and kept it into the 3rd hour when some donkey makes a horrible call and drops my stack down considerably and I try just to sit back and make the money....Get a good hand, get all-in with the best called by shit and the shit hits...So I finish out of the money by 10-30 spots...just tired of it, thats all...the limit cash games have been feeling to much like a "grind" lately, so I have been mainly stickin to MTTs and a few SNGs...but thats about it, Still set on my goals, so i guess we will see what happens in the first month as it progresses.....Late

Well...2005 was a hell of a year for me....My first solid year of playing online the majority of the time....I started playing on Stars in Mid 2004 but didn't really take it serious or play much until the end of the year. I have seen ups and downs, ridiculous bad beats, awesome suckouts, a positive earnings year, some nice tourney finishes and some good live play. I want to start 2006 off right, mainly because I want to set a goal of how much I am going to make b/c I don't have an exact number for this year. I have only been 21 since last june so, I could only play live for the latter half of the year, but that leads me to one of my biggest goals....To play more LIVE...in the B&M casinos and local tourneys...I have loved the little I have played in Tunica this year, but have not capitalized on it and went enough, it simply boils down to that, making the plans to go and doin' it...

I have a big goal this year for my online play...I want to make $10,000 playing online this year...yeah, thats what I said...$10,000!!! It may seem a little big and maybe hard to reach, but isn't that what goals are for...I continue to advance my play and feel I have done so a lot this past year and am ready to make a good run in 2006. For those of you that read my blog that personally know me, get your laughs in and call me stupid or whatever...My biggest problem in '05 was inconsistency....I would one day be playing $5/$10 and $10/$20 Limit or $2/$4 NL and then the next I would be back at micro limits trying to grind out a decent bankroll through small ring games and SNGs primarily b/c I had cashed out my stack...That is another thing I don't need to do anymore, cash out my winnings and blow them....Last year, all to often, I would build up a nice bankroll, split it between sites, then feel I needed to cash out and blow it on something....I don't think my wife would take kindly to the fact that me spending my bankroll on our wedding is "blowing money"...I don't mean that...I just need to establish a bankroll and keep it, snowball it in to more and more as the year passes, mabye cash out every now and then if I need extra money, but not so much as to leave myself with $100 that I know I will play to aggressive and lose in a heartbeat....So for those of you that want to hate on my goal, all I really got for you is a 'Go to Hell'. I need some support not any haters tellin me I can't do this...I figure one big tourney win and I can be successful at my goal....

Another of my goals is to become more successful in online MTTs...multi-table tourneys....I have had my best finishes this past year and have done "mediocre" in my MTT play as a whole. i want to get some help with specifically battling the big fields on the online felt and consistently making final tables...

I also want to keep working on my cash game play...this is what has brought me the most success this past year, earnings wise, and have gotten pretty use to playing low and middle Limit poker...I used to hate Limit poker, as recent as the beginning of last year, but turned on to it through the books and blogs I was reading on a daily basis, and as far as cash game play is concerned, esp. Live....It is primarily limit...I would like to be playing $10/$20 and $20/$40 comfortably and well by the end of the year...For now, I will start off with the usual grind on the $2/$4 and $3/$6 tables, but will advance as time goes by...I have only two buddies that take online poker serious as I do, ChiefFoxboro and SupaStarr...both of whom have and continue to play about as much as I do, although Supastarr is kind of in the poker off-season during football season, because he is a self-taught successful footballl handicapper...lol...But they help me a lot wiht my game, mainly b/c they are the only two players I know personally who I feel I have to learn from....wait, Big Phil has taught me a little bit about Semi-bluffs and Aggression at the table, so thanx to him too...I also should give a shout out to DNA4ever for getting me into this whole blog thing...

One more goal I have, is to have a nice finish in a decent-sized live tournament, preferrably a final table appearance....And keep in mind that this goal would most likely, depending on the size of the field and the buy-in, accomplish my overall goal of making $10,000 this year playing poker...So I have a lot of goals and I think I am ready for the 2006 grind, so I've got 361 days left to make a quite a bit a money and maybe learn some shit along the way...

Well, last night was a good night for me...I played online and live...I also drank some good ole cheap whiskey which I love, and it usually makes me play worse, but didn't effect me too much last night as I didn't have enuf.

I only played online last night for about 45 min. but finished up about 34bb....I'll take a short positive "hit n'run" session any day...I 2-tabled $3/$6 for about 10 min and lost on two suckouts immediately and got pissed and dropped down to a $2/$4 table and got it back plus a little...

Then I went over to my boy Belew's house and played a cash game for about 4 hours or so....A very juicy table to say the least...a lot of people I didnt know and some "dead money" players that wanted to call everything with dreams of catching 2-outters on the river....SO, it was a nice session for me. I booked a 123bb win in all...Alot of which is owed to me today, b/c people went broke and had to put markers in...but...money all the same....

I am so ready to get out of here and get down to Tunica tomm, it will be packed, but still fun...Probably some very soft tables b/c of how much liquor will be flowing, but I might end up one of those suckers, b/c I am getting hammered all weekend long....Best thing is that I had a good week so I have a little extra padding on my bankroll.....Im out...Late

Last night was uneventful in a positive way, no bad beats, and no big wins, just grinded my way in the plus....I 2-tabled $2/4 and $3/6 Short-handed LHEfor about two hours and finished up about $115, so a good night in that I won some money, but nothing spectactular to report. I did have one hand at a $2/4 table that I flopped the Nut full house and got capped bets all the way to the river from two players and won a big pot, besides that, just normal cards.

I did cash in a MTT the other night on Stars. It was a $3 +.30 buy-in with that new Top 20% payout structure that they have which sucks for low buy-in tourneys...I came in 320th out of 1572. SO pretty much I played for 2 hours and won $1.43...Great job sir! Stars does have double FPPs thru the end of the year which is nice, so I have racked up some pretty decent FPPs and will continue to until Dec. 31st at midnight...

Looking foward to this weekend, as I am going to Tunica with a group of people. My wife is also going which most would see as bad, but I am looking foward to it b/c she has never been in a casino in her life. I think she will love it. My little Vegas....Never been to Tunica on New Years Eve, but heard its a big party and plan on trying to stick to the poker tables instead of playing the other games where the house will rape you every time. Will report back tomm. about tonights play, and then not until Tues. Late...

Wut up to everyone...nothing overly exciting, but I haven't been making any money online or in our home games at all in about 3 weeks, I finally did last night though...Played a 5-man $.50/1 Mixed game(PLO, NLHE, Pineapple, Stud) last night for about 4 hours and I finished up about 125bb, which is damn good...I pretty much dominated, or actually I just couldn't lose...One interesting hand, when I got to see the flop in HE for cheap with 10,4o.....Flops comes 9 10 4 ....I check get some action and smooth call....turn is a blank and dude goes all-in and I call, i have 2-pair, he has OE nut str8 draw.....River is a 10 for the boat, nice pot sir....Anwyayz, its Xmas time so, unless I make a big MTT finish online this weekend, I won;t update until like next Tues. or Wed.....Late

I don't even know why I am going to write a post right now, other than the fact that I should keep my millions of readers up to date...lol....anywayz....I haven't been playing much poker lately, I think because of the holidays and since I cashed out last, have not had a bankroll to play with...

My home game is either getting harder or I am gettin screwed horribly, I think it is a combination of both, but more the latter....Some of my friends that are regulars in the game who used to just be easy money and came only to donate to the pot and get hammered are actually learning the game a little bit...and the fact that we play together so much, we who think we are better and are accomplished players are going to have to switch up ours stlyes because I am tired of losing on bad plays/calls....No longer can you bet big and take the pot down, maybe with an all-in preflop raise(but prob still not then), you are going to get chased down almost every time, or so it seems....anywayz, enough crying, i just have been suckin lately, Live and online....definately havent played much online, because the little I have won in our games i have spent on Xmas and haven't invested it to try and make more, but I did play this weekend, and turned $25 into $78 in one night, until I lost all of it in about 15 minutes in a drunken rage Sat. night, which was stupid and makes me mad...So the bankroll is back to zero now and I prob won't have any more in there for awhile, so just wanted to up date you on things..Late....

Well, not to much to report about, just a little steaming...We played a last minute home game last night, and it seems all I can do anymore in my home games is get raped! I played played okay last night, but didn't really catch any cards....

My disaster hand was in playing PL Omaha( we were playing dealer's choice, with 4 games)...I had 9c7c9dQh and my oppenent had AAxx with a couple of hearts...Flop came 6 8 x with two hearts, I have open ended draw with an over pair, and he has nut flush draw with best pair....After some he threw a decent bet and I smooth called, the Turn comes a 10c....my money card, but a blank to him...he shoots out like $5 I think into about a $15 or $20 pot..I consider smooth calling, hoping to draw more money out of hinm, but its Omaha, and decide to come back over the top for another $13 I think to eliminate a call with a draw...he thinks...and thinks...almost folds, and then calls with his AA and his nut flush draw....Of course, he rivers a fucking 2 of hearts and I lose all my money to what I considered to be a bad call, but he had a pretty big stack already, so maybe not too bad...But I just hate the damn river, unless of course I am on the good end, which seems very rare....

I also played in a $11+1 45-player SNG on stars, which for the money and time commitment has a pretty good pay-out....I played excellent the majority of the time and the of course bubbled in 10th place....Im out Late

Just figured I would make a post seeing that it has been a long time since I have done so....I have had nothing to post about....Very little poker seeing that I cashed out my bankroll to pay bills and haven't put any more in...Also have finals coming up for school, so I have actually had a lot of work to do at night and some studying( I know, not my forte)....but anywayz, just tryin to get ready for Christmas and everything that goes with that...

Well, the final table of the 2005 WSOP was finally shown on TV last night....I knew the order and what happened since July, thanx to Cardplayer.com...But it was cool to watch it on TV..I cant imagine what playing for that kinda money would be like, I think I would be like Danneman and just think how amazing it was that I came this far and have fun with it...But congrats to Joe Hachem, the Aussie, who is the new WSOP Main Event Champion....

Played a lil home Game last night...Me, Gregger, Nate Dogg, JR, Jake, and Jimmy....I ended up buying- in for a 2nd $20, but I then caught some hands, and cashed out with $70 for a $30 profit....We saw some horrible suckouts last night, they are going to happen, but last night seemed espcially bad...

As far as internet poker is concerned...Didn't play last night except losing $60 in about 15 mintues showing Craig and Nate Dogg that Titan Poker has Three-Card Poker just like the casinos, and blackjack and some other casino games...But my play has been good, and I am starting the whole bonus chasin again...i started up a promotion, my 2nd, for Pokersourceonline.com....If you haven't checked them out, please do so, it wont make me any money or anything, just that you can get some cool shit, just for playing poker like you are going to anyway....After I finish this promotion, I will have enough PSO points to get a bunch of stuff...i.e., $100 Party Poker certificate, 1 GB iPOD, poker tables, etc....And by the way, Titan poker has extremely SOFT tables.....like for real...people just give their money away on purpose, I mean you kinda wanna lose every now and then so you dont feel like you are cheating them...ok, n/m....you could care less, and would love to rob them blind...either way, Titan has plenty of donk money to go around....

Happy Monday to everyone...yeah right...I hate mondays with a serious passion...I am always tired from the weekend, esp. during deer season, because I get up before daylight and stay up very late and usually never have a nap in between....Anywayz....Opening weekend was good, I did not kill a deer...I had 6 does on me Sat. morn forever, but will wait til later in the season to fill the meat locker....hunting for horns mainly right now...My uncle killed a nice 8-point, as did my boy Belew, and his was even good enough to get mounted...As far as poker goes, not much playing except for yesterday....Cashed in a few SNGs, no luck in MTTs, and played good in some $3/6 and $1/2 NL cash games...Haven't played much NL lately, but did awesome yest night....in fact, took down my biggest pot to date....$374 and some change....in one hand...All in after the turn...and My AK 2pair held up against JK 2pair, I played the han perrfectly however, cuz he never knew what I had when he reraised me all-in...bankroll up to about $600.....Considering that it was at $24 and some change last Tues. night when I got home from work, I feel pretty good about poker right now....late...

Sucked in a 10+1 MTT on Pstars...10min levels....no where close to the money. Oh well...Gwen Stefani is hot..shes on the TV right now...so sexy......Made the money in 5.50 turbo on Pstar...91st...payed off like 9$...WOW!.really that sucks but its another cash on the PokerDB.....so that cool.

But the main thing is I just got 120$ more at a 50/1$ full cash table. By full I mean 9 people.....It was awesome....Sure its not good to play when youre drunk but sometimes it pays off......I lost 40$ right off the bat when I had AJ off suit and raised preflop with 3 callers to a flopof 33J.......bet the flop....one call....turn is an 8.......bet ...get raised...i reraise....then i get reraised to see some DONK call me with J8 to win the pot with 2 pair.....so immediately....being drunk of course....I get angry{TILT}....and get determined to win my money back...Hop in with another 40$ and turn it into 200$......I swear I played my worst game ever by challenging people when I had nothing but rags.....Dont know how many times I check raised with absolutley nothing just to see if the other player was for real...and every time I took down a huge pot....And NODODY EVER PICKED UP ON IT......so I kept on doing it.....Eventuallly I was up from 40$ to 200$....then I got caught trying to steal a pot and it was time to go with my profit......Im very happy with my intoxicated play....got more money for more MTT's...BIG MONEY IS COMING...I FEEL IT!!...We will see Sunday becuz Im going to Miss...Tomorrow to see the Hogs play Ole Miss Saturday....hopefully it will be like a 14 overtime game becuz the Hogs season is over and I really dont care if they win or lose....Im getn trashed either way...should be fun though.....Until next time!

Well, maybe I am out of my rut....I don't want to jinx myself, but I am starting to get back in my groove, or so I think...I am still not just slappin people with Benjamins or anything, but doing pretty good...

Last night the cash tables were good to me...I cannot say the same about SNGs out MTTs...I played in 2 Sit n Gos and lost both, one being a $6+.50 45 player where I made it to 11th place, only 7 pay, and the other being a $11+1 45-player where I went out early with KK.....Reraise all on after MP raises about 5BB, he calls with A7o....seriously? what a donk...Of course, he spiked an A on the turn and my K did not come on the river and I was out...I also played a $1 MTT for no apparent reason other than it was the only one registering on Stars at the time that I could afford... and I also played a $10+1....Made it about an hour into both and then got put out, first by a donk call, and then by a bad call on my part...I had 55, thought it was good, but EP slow played QQ and slammed me on a board of KK7....So, down about $40 on tourneys last night...

Had some good cash game play, caught some cards, but played osme good poker in general last night...I played $2/4 for about an hour and made a little and was going to go to bed...I got a drink from the kitchen and just decided that I needed some $3/6 action...and it payed off...down about $30 in the first 1o mintues, and then went on a roll...I turned my original $60 into $196 before finally going to bed... I also played $2/4 limit Stud for about an hour last night and made about $30, which it was the first time to play Stud at levels higher than pennies...I am going to try to start playing more Stud and Omaha, and then eventually try to learn how to play Stud H/L and Omaha H/L to broaden my horizon. I have no idea the concept or strategy or even what qualifies a low hand for H/L games...so all in all, an profitable night....

Last night in town....gettin off tomm at 2:30 to go down to the deer woods...I pretty stoked about that, so I am ready for this day to be over with even though it just started...Might make another post tonight depending on my play, but will report back on Monday for sure...Late

After 3 days and nights of disgusting bad beats and horrible grinding at very small levels, I might be getting somewhere....I'm not rollin in the cash or anything but, I did well last night, as far as R.O.I. is concerned and making +EV decisions. I started playing last night with a mere $24, and quickly lost it down to about $12 due to the fish that play Low-LIMIT poker.

But then I had a good run of cards and idiots that just like to give their money away to me and somehow I turned that $12 into about $200 in like 1.5 hours....I even paid Nate Dogg his money back, that way he can spot me again when I go broke....but I had one really nice hand last night when I had AA in LP and was facing a raise and a re-reraise, so of course I capped it and we saw the flop...It comes down A 10 A....Hell yeah...I just flopped QUADS....and they keep capping the betting, WTF do they think they have?????? In the end I took down the pot, a $80 pot in 2/4 which was nice and atleast one guy had pocket 10s and flopped a boat, kinda sux for him, but awesome hand for me....

So what I'm getting at is....I'm bout to go on a badass run and capitilize my gains and build me a bankroll....Only got tonight and tomm night to play though cuz I will be at deer camp all weekend long...But I am going to keep grinding out these cash games b/c that is where I have profited in the past...and I think I'll try to get in an MTT tonight as well....

What up to everyone...been ahwile since I have talked with you all...I haven't been able to play much online poker lately because I have been broke. I have been playing a little live poker and doing damn good, with some good cash game earnings and a 1st and 2nd in toruneys, only having played 2 tourneys. But when I play live and win, I just spend the cash and don't ever build up a bankroll to play with. And I haven't gotten on any kind of run online to build one either, and it pisses me off.

Here just a month ago, I was sitting on about a 1k stack for about 4 weeks, cashing out $2250 in about 3...I just want to be able to play the higher limits again, and I guess every player has had a slump and eventually will get out, so I guess this is mine. I mean I will get loaned $10 or $20 here and there and get put out in a an MTT by a dumbass hitting his 3-outer on the river, and occasionally me making a bad call. Or will I will grind it out at the cash tables and turn nothing into something, just to catch a cold deck and lose it back. Last night for example I was down to about $11 and then I grinded it into $60..and was happy until I lost it all back, but it still pathetic.......I was paying my bills with this game a month ago and now Im tryin to grind it out on the $.50/1 tables for hours on end just to make like 50 bucks.....Its DISGUSTING!!! I HATE THIS!!!

Anywayz, besides all that dumb shit, Life is going great...School is running pretty smooth and the Fam is doin great. Still proud of my gurl for her tourney win, she only got 2nd under me, but still a very good showing for her first REAL tourney...

Also, another reason I haven;t been posting vey much is because its deer season. I have been hunting since I was a lil boy and love it....so pretty much every weekend from middle of Oct. to the middle of Dec. I travel about 1.5 hours south of here to deer camp. Haven;t got one yet this year, but gun season starts this Saturday, so I'm ready as hell for that.

I've had 2 decent finishes recently. I placed 14th in a 10$ and 20th in a 20$ MTT on Pstars. Both had decent payouts. Its been great to place in these and win some money but Im just so close to winning the big money...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...just so close. But im happy with what Ive done. In both of the tourneys, I was able to survive...and I mean survive to make the money. Then once Ive made the money, Ive gone on a little roll...Havin enough chips to either go big or go home is the situation I was in both tourneys. So Id double up once or twice and then be sitting in the top 15 in chips with anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000.....but its just gone downhill from there. I havent caught the cards or hit the flops to get more than 20 or 30 thousand in chips. I get blinded down to where Im waitin for the one hand to make a move with, and In both ive gotten in with decent hands but not what Id like to be pushin with. Just dont know if Im just a couple hands away from doin it big or If theres more I need to learn to get better....pretty sure thats part of it.....But Im just gonna keep hoppin in em and playing the best I can....Hopefully the final tables and big money will come.

What it do? Hopped in big 20$ tourney on pstars at like 10:40 p.m or so. 581 people participated in the tourney. I was down to 240 in chips within the first 15 min or so, then doubled up with KK vs. JJ and my KK held up for me. Then for the rest of the 1st hour, I went on a roll getting up to 9200 at the break. So Im sittin in the top 5 and Im like SHIT..this aint gonna last. Make it halfway through 2nd hour before I run into a set of 9s and get down to 3200 or so. Top 54 pay...so I survive into the 3rd hour and it gets down to 60. So I hold on and make the money. So now I feel a little better...cuz makin the money is always good. Then what you know I double up to about 13000 when Im all in preflop with KK vs. QJ off suit.....already have this guy dominated.........but I still flop Quads. So I survive and move up some more money spots. Then I get all in preflop with AA vs A10(clubs). Flop a set and the turn pairs up the board giving me the nuts. Get up to 40000. Thats gives my just enough to survive all the way down to 11 people left. Guess where I'm sittin at...yep....11 out of 11. Then out of nowhere....two people bust out on the other table and I make the FINAL TABLE!!!!WooHoooo........Im still the lowstack but the 1st hand someone else bust out and I move up more money. Blinds move up to 2000/4000....I have 15000 left..Get all in with A10 off suit, but I run into KK. Flops a set, and the turn was no help putting an end to everything as I go out in 8th place. Pays off 302$. Decent pay out...but Im just proud to get my 1st final table. Next goal is to finish better than 8th[my previous best was 15th] and I also wouldnt mind makin some more final tables. What up to everyone and hopefully you are having a good friday...I am!...It halloween weekend and we are having a party Sat. night which should be fun and I am going to deer camp tonight, so all is well. Last night Me, my wife, Nate Dogg, and JR went to Supastarr's parents house...His mom called me mid week and told me they were having a tourney last night and that it would be easy money for me because no one really knew how to play and just did it for fun. Well, should could not have been moer correct! My dad came too, he didn't fair well as he got some bad beats put on him early on...it was a winner-take-all tourney and Jen, Nate Dogg, and myself, made it to final 3 and chopped, how ironic...i actually did play good, because seeing that the skill level wasn't very high and everyone just wanted to have fun, people would call you down with anything and usually hit their 2 outters on the river for a two pair of something like 7s and 4s....but a good time and can't wait to go back....I will say that it was the most unorthodox tourney I have ever played in, probably again due to it being for a good time and not to serious...But you had unlimited rebuys for the first...WHOLE tourney! If it was down to 3 and you wanted to rebuy after getting busted you could, you would be dominated, but you could...that was kinda odd...no one really took advantage of that though, most rebuys were fairly early on....Second...the chips had no denominations, all the same value, and you got 50 to start with, which made for a big mess in the end trying to seperate 1200+ chips into their approriate colors...And a winner-take-all tourney with a field of about 20 people with probably 10 rebuys or so...odd, good thing we chopped....But a definate shout-out to my wife, she knows a lot more about poker than I thought and certainly more than any other woman I know, It was only her 2nd or 3rd time playing with me, so I am very proud, b/c she didn't just play good hands, she slo-played when necessary and even bluffed....But I took $120, and Nate and Jen both got $75 in the end, only b/c I had them about 2 to 1, but glad to go to a tourney for the first time and just run it over...but enough about poker...

This weekend will be fun with the party and all, going to try and get in some online poker if I get a chance, couple of MTTs or something, but I will holler back on Monday...

This weekend was fun to say the least, did a lot of stuff that I haven't done in awhile and made some good money playing poker, and played good poker in general. Start off with going to play in the CSC poker tourney on Friday night. Craig went with me, its a $30 buy-in w/ unlimited rebuys for the first 1.5 hours and 19 people showed up...only one rebuy though. Anywayz,I grinded it out and ended up getting 2nd...I had my HU competition dominated skillz wise, but not in chips and he wouldn't chop so we played it out. He gets lucky when he needs to and beats me, but I got 1st place last time and 2nd this time, Im happy...only $140 though for 5.5 hours of play...

Got home from conway about 4 am Fri night and get up at 8:45am with my little boy and play outside for about 2 hours, fun except for I had a nice hangover...watched the Hogs game at 11am..Not sure what happened there, we suck all year and can't beat Vanderbilt, but almost beat No.4 ranked Georgia, only lose by 3....good game though. Darren McFadden is the shit, and Robert Johnson still sucks....Sat night we had a lil get together and grilled out and drank...and drank...and then we drank some more...good times...Drove by the haunted house at bout 11:30 hollering obscenities for no apparent reason except for the fact that it was hilarious. Then we decided to pull out the high-school card about 1am and go "roll' some houses..."Rolling", for all of you non-redneck Yankees, is "secretively" going to someone's house and throwing toilet paper in their trees and usually putting shaving cream everywhere. Its kinda an adrenaline rush, b/c you got to mash-out quick when you see the porch light come on. Anywayz, totally pointless, but good ignorant fun...

I played in the Pokerstars Blogger Championship yesterday...really cool prizes and we started with 2000 chips which I liked. I played gun-shy kind of b/c I wanted to make it deep and make atleats the top 100...got put out when my 66 ran into AA...All-in post flop with board of 6J3....i had the set that beat him until pokerstars screwed me with an Ace on the River...oh well...Congrats to Dna4ever for atleast getting a prize...Last night played a cash game at Craig's house, I put in $20, and then had to get $20 more, but ended up cashing out with $122, so a good night for friendly cash game.

Well, last night I was "staked" by the infamous Styx21684, a well-known online player...I know him and b/c money is nothing to him, him loaned me $35. I have decided where the golden treasure is on stars....Its not in the limit or no-limit cash games like I had thought originally....its in the $10+1+rebuys($45,000 guaranteed) that they have every night at 9:15...You have to plan on spending anywhere from $30 to $60 if you are going to rebuy a couple od times and add-on...but do you know what first place was last night.....$13,445....yeh....13k baby...damn....wouldn't it be nice...I think I am going to concentrate on that....its a crazy toruney and takes some good play to survive, but if you do, what a nice piece of pie you are eating at the finish line. The first hour is unlimited rebuys, so it is rediculous, every one going all-in with sub-par hands just trying to double through and amass a big stack to play with....after the hour break and the add-on period is over....it calms down a little and the real grinding begins....I went out last night about 1.5 hours into when I limped with Q9 of diamonds from the small blind and saw a flop of K 6 8 all diamonds...of course I bet it big and got it all in against another player who has A2 of diamonds for the nut flush, I have the second nut flush and am eliminated....I can think of a lot of shitty ways to get out of a tourney, but that one was horrible...anywayz...I got out too early and didn't get a chance to make a decent run at the big money, but it will come another day, I think I am going to star playing this tourney as much as I can....later....

What it do? Haven't been on here in awhile, mainly because I've had nothing to talk about but I do now. Its 1:58 A.M. on what might be a good Wednesday for me. My Tuesday night ended with my droppin 75$ in a cash game to my buddies....I couldn't get anything going...but don't really care about that now. So I get home and I'm still on tilt from the cash game so my dumbass jumps in a big 20+2 tourney on Pstars. About 500 people in it, and I went out like 499th, when I went for broke with 8 9 spades. So right there I told myself I needed to stop before I blew my whole bankroll of at the time 179$. Then somehow I ended up registered in 100+9 one table sit-n-go leaving me with 70$ left If I didn't do anything in the tourney. So I finally calmed down because...well hell I just put 109$ into a poker tournament...time to get serious and play some cards. Make it down to 4 people left...top 3 place. One big stack...me and the other 2 sittin pretty even in stacks. I get up, get down, get up, get down, have to make a move...double up....get up, get down, finally two other players go at it and one gets busted...YES!!!! So I make the money...Now 3 left, Im the low stack. All in or fold was pretty all I thought i could do. What you know...I double up putting me even with the chip leader and crippling the other player. Next few hands my AK takes down the low stacks A7 putting him out. Start heads up even with my opponent. After bout 13 minutes of action, I get a 3 to 1 chip advantage on him. He moves all in preflop A8clubs, I call Q 10 off suit....hit a 10 on the flop and it holds up. 1st pays off 450$. Might not be that much...but the most I've ever won at one time.

Nt much online poker at all this week, haven't even made a deposit since sunday, I really have just not felt like playing on there. I do want to put some money in Party Poker however, because they have a new option where you can play blackjack for real money at the same time you are playing poker, you can also pull up a window in which to side bet on the color of the flop and it pays 8-1, a great house advantage and sucker bet, but it still could be fun.

Put together a home game last night last minute, b/c one of my buddies has been wanting to play for awhile and I will be gone all weekend at deer camp, so played a 5 man game for 3-4 hours...then after our late finish I remembered I had a big test this morning so i stayed up and studied for it, and of course I am tired as shit today. But I think I did good on the test so i'll get over it. The highlight of last night was a hand where I called a small raise with A8os and was in the hand with the raiser(QQ) and another caller(10J)...The flop comes AA2...so very nice for me that my A-x that was way behind now it a set. Big bets and I smooth called...the turn is another A giving me the NUTS, quad aces...I am playing it off jokin with the raiser about him not tryin to act like he has the Ace when in fact I can't wait til he bets it like he does. River is a K and caller checks and I bet out a $5 value bet to the raiser and he thinks and then goes all in with about another $20, so there is a good $50-60 in the pot....I turned it over and he shows QQ, so he got pissed off and left, but he actually he took it pretty good... But a good hand and a couple of other key pots and I turned $20 into $97, so not bad for our home game...

I wil l be at down south at my deer camp all weekend hunting and drinking and gambling...it is my first weekend to be able to go b/c I have been so busy, and the season hass been open since Oct. 1...but its all good, this weekend will be fun..report back on Mon.

Well, as far as poker goes, this weekend sucked...but as far as everything else goes, I had a very good weekend...

I went to Benton to play in Phil's home game Fri. night, and got raped...I think I lost about $100, but when you are playing .50/1 and buying in for $20 at a time, thats horrible..I had a good time for most of the night, but I got on tilt real bad and was kinda pissed off about my plans being ruined for Sat., and I just didn't need to be playing. I did however play good for the 1st couple of hours, but just kept gettin burnt, I mean it was ridiculous. $50+ on the table in one hand with me having the nuts, only to get drawn out by a 2-outer that had no business calling the hand down in the first place. But as long as I have been trying to play for serious money and profit, the bad beat stories just get more repetitive and boring, so I will spare you any more. But they are all good guys and fun to play with, even though they have you bent over the whole time.

Saturday was a hell of a time. Arkansas Razorbacks beat the LA-Monroe Idiots 44-15....not a very impressive win considering we only covered our 28 pt spread by one point, but still a good time, because it was the first of two games at War Memorial in Little Rock. Me and my wife got to the game at about a 2:00 and it didn't start til 6, so we tailgated all day. Seems like everyone in central arkansas was at that game tailgating. Wut up to everyone...I haven't made a post all week, cuz I have been really busy with work and haven't played much poker. But I'm married!...still hasn't set in, but I'm happy, Jen is the shit...But I've sucked at the little poker I have played this week, Im wondering if the cashout curse has taken effect.

I cashed out about $2000 in a 2 week period, and I can't do shit this week...I have been gettin burnt by the fish at the limit cash games and the same in the No limit MTTs I've been tryin to play...Props to Dna4ever for finishing 8th in a big $20+2 MTT and cashing for more than $400, so close to the big money, first was over $5000.....Going to Big Phils house tonight in Benton to play some cards, will probably get raped, cuz those cats are good at doing that to me, but will have a good time anywayz...

Well, this will be a very short post as I don't have much to say...I played in the Negreanu Open again last night, but I sucked it up most of the time, well, actually, I built a stack at the beginning which was pointless b/c I kept gettin slammed by idiots catching their 2 and 3 outers on the river...but I'm not going to complain....I cashed out a total of $950 yesterday, off an original investment of $60, yeah...that whats I said...$60...I took it almost to $1200 , but then lost it down and cashed out, because I need money for this weekend and I'm going to buy me a new muzzleloader seeing that deer season starts Sat....but I lost the $80 or so I left myself to play with at a no limit table last night, so I'm out and will probably deposit again early next week, if I can make it through the weekend without doing so....I will be a married man the next time I post, later...

Last night was, for the most part, uneventful as far as poker is concerned. I played $3/6 limit for a lil bit and just went up then down, couldn't really hold on to a profit or a loss, so then played a lil $1/2 no limit, in which I did the same thing, up and down...I played two heads-up matches, both for $20, and won one, and loss one....So you can see, that last night I just wasn't capitalizing on anything, which with the profits I been gettin used to for the last couple of nights, SUCKED...

I guess the highlight of last night was that I cashed in the $5+.50 Turbo MTT.....I usually play these mainly b/c they are cheap, they only last a maximum of about 2 hours and they usually have a first place of about $2k...

Well, I'm not at all considering dropping out of school, or turning pro, but I had a damn good weekend all together, poker and otherwise. My fiance went to Motley Crue w/ friends Friday night so I got to go to Conway to play in the CSC bi-weekly poker tourney. There were only 16 people with a buy-in of $30 with rebuys, but no add-on. I won it....my 5th time going and I have never even cashed, but I played near-perfect and ended up winning the whole thing for $285...and I didn't rebuy, so a net-profit of $255...only downside is it lasted for 5.5 hours, which is too long for that small of a tourney, but the guy who runs it it working on changing it to speed it up...The best thing about that night was the fact that I was shortstacked going into 3, when the two bigger stacks got all-in and took it down to heads-up...Going in to heads-up I was about 2.5 or 3 to 1...I was dominated! But after about 5 str8 all-ins, I got some chips and ended up winning. I jumped up to 16 on the points standings, so it was a good night.

Sat. Night one of my mom's friends had a wedding party for us. It was very nice and we got a lot more cool gifts, so thanks to everybody for everything. We drank a little there, and then battled the ruminants of Hurricane Rita on the way home, and then went out to a country club called Hollywood and had a hell of a time. One of my buddies actually got "cut-off" by the bar if that tells you anything.

And finally I get to talk about cash games on Pokerstars. Sometimes I hate stars, but I love it right now. Last Thurs. I made a $60 deposit, and over the weekend turned it into $720....thats right!...$721.34....Hell yeah, I'm good, I don't have to be told twice. That is the biggest increase over that short period of time I have ever had since playing online, which I have been doing for more than a year now. A combination of playing $3/6 and $5/10 led up to that...Last night I played for maybe 1.5 hours at a $5/10 table and turned $100 into $475....SO, needless to say I kinda have a big head right now, because I feel pretty good about poker and life in general..

Its my last week to be single as I'm gettin married Sat. October 1...ran up on me quick, but I'm excited and know that Jen is the right one and only one for me for the rest of my life....I love you if you read this baby! Enough sweet talk...I'm the shit right now, just wanted to share that...matter of fact, I think this is the 1st time Ive ever had more than $700 in my pokerstars account at once. So, hope everyone is loving life like me....Later

Ahhh....gambling, drinking and strippers...the life...Well folks, Tunica was a blast this weekend, and me and the guys all went up there for my Bachelor's party weekend. It was a very expensive "blast" but still very much so worth it. We stayed at the Gold Strike all weekend and suprisingly had a room on the 15th floor with an outstanding view. And compared to my previous trips, it was much better staying at a casino hotel rather than having to drive back and forth...you could drink much more and only have to manage to get yourself to the elevator at 8am rather than walking through a parking lot looking for your ride in the depressing morning sun.

Well, no one left with a profit out our whole group, many of us were up at one point, but lost it all back...I think that is why they feed you as many crown & cokes as you can drink..lol...But we all had a great time to say the least with the exception of that one SEC team losing to USC...
I was in the casino from about 10:00pm until about 8:30am fri night and it was awesome...One thing I love about going to Tunica is that even though you lose most of the time, the casino lessens the pain by giving you comp meals, its easy....you just sit at any table game and when the pit boss comes to check in your card til him you want a couple of meals, and you get enough comps so that everyone can get atleast 2 or 3 good menu items...I have to give Cody his props, he hit a str8 flush twice in one night on the three-card poker table, where if you bet on the "pairs plus" bet it paid off 40 to 1....both times he had a $5 chip on the bet and hit for over $200 total...he was up about $700 at the end of the night Friday and still managed to lose it all back like the rest of us.....my only wish about the trip was that I can't believe I didn;t play any poker, or atleast no hold-em in the poker room...I don't have much of a reason except for that fact that I didn't want to buy-in for a big amount all at once, I guess I wanted to lose $50 and a $100 here and there until my money was gone...But we had a hell of a time...

Sat night we went to Memphis to go watch the Hogs play USC at a sports bar and drink and then go to Platinum Plus....for those of you that don't know what Platinum is, it is considered to be one of the Best strip clubs in the Southeast US....Well, I'm not even goin to talk about to Hogs game, its not worth it, we lost 70-17....the 2nd most points scored on us in school history, ouch....absolutely rediculous....We just have to get rid of Nutt and see if Butch Davis can come in and do something right. Platinum was all it was cracked up to be, we had an awesome time there, and it was even better b/c we got free passes from the bar we went to so that saved us $10 a piece...

All in all, I had an awesome weekend, it was everything I wanted it to be, thanks to Twitty for helping get our room in order and a HELL YEAH to all the guys that went, and a I'm sorry for all who couldn't....but I'm out later...

What up to all the fishes....I just love them, as supastarr says "there are many a fish on the sea of green felt"...I just wanted to say that...last night was aight I guess...I played in the second tourney of the new season of the Negreanu open( private tourney on stars) and placed 12th out of 126...last week i got 10th out of 124...so as far as leaderboard standings go, I'm doing pretty good...a big congrats to Spademan who won the Open last week and turned around and got 2nd this week...nice!

I played quite a bit of $3/6 six-handed last night, I played the whole time I was in the tourney which was almost 3 hours...I turned $60 into $235 before getting out, so a pretty good investment...Although $3/6 isn't that high of a limit, its plenty high enough for my bankroll, but I am amazed at the fish that love to dump big pots to me, over and over again...I even woke up early this morning and played a lil $5/10, but after about 50 hands cashed out even or very close to that.

Well, its thurs. and tomm, is the reason this week has went by so damn slow...as soon as I can get out of here tomm. me and the guys are headed to Tunica for the weekend for my bachelor's party...We are going to be gambling all night tomm, sleep during the day Sat. and then head up to Memphis Sat. night to watch the No.1 team in the nation play some team from the SEC, and then going to Platinum....so this weekend is going to be wild to say the least...im out
